Completely Misrepresented & Unsafe – Avoid at All Costs
We were forced to leave this property after the first night and spend over 7,000 on alternate lodging. If it hadn’t been so late upon arrival, we wouldn’t have stayed at all. The property was completely misrepresented, unhygienic, and unsafe. Major Issues:Air Conditioning MisleadingThe listing claimed full AC, but only small, ineffective portable units were provided. They required venting through open doors, making them useless. One bedroom couldn’t be cooled at all due to a broken sliding door—also a major fire safety risk.Unsanitary & Unsafe Conditions•One bathroom was unusable due to a strong sewage smell; all other drains smelled too.•Sofa was filthy—my 75 year old mother had to sleep on it because one bedroom couldn’t be used.•Neighborhood is unsafe: graffiti everywhere, drug paraphernalia outside, and a homeless man screaming near the entrance for hours.•Key handoff was via a bike lock on a public street corner.•Primary bedroom had no functional shower—just a handheld sprayer with no curtain.Neglect & Poor Upkeep•Water-damaged blinds and closets sealed with duct tape.•Half the lights didn’t work.•No washcloths, only one trash can.•Cigarette buts on balcony.•Owner acknowledged she typically meets guests to explain things—she didn’t.This was not a livable space. The listing was full of false claims, & the condition & location were unacceptable. I would never stay here again, even if you paid me, & strongly advise others to avoid it.
