Millennium Hotel London Mayfair

The heater did not warm up enough, noticed in the morning that the room across from us had asked for an electrical heater, so the problem was not specified to our room The concierge was fabulous and courteous.

From the time you check-in until the time you check-out you will find the staff always professional and quick to react to your request. The location is fantastic as you are in walking distance to great shopping, food, and the parks. Compared to most hotels in London, this hotel is a great value for money!

The Millenium Hotel London Mayfair is fast becoming my home-away-from-home in London. The location is fantastic for many reasons, primary shopping and culinary, but this hotel is also a short taxi ride away from most of the train stations (especially Paddington and the Heathrow Express).

I stayed at the Millennium for 5 nights and had a really nice stay. The rooms are a little shabby, but the Mayfair location was convenient for work and it was nice to be near the parks for early morning, jet lagged runs. I really enjoyed being on Grosvenor Square. The breakfast buffet was terrible (especially for the cost), but I had room service one night, which was good. Staff wasn't terribly helpful, but generally polite.

I had stayed in this hotel dozens of times before it became a Millennium. It has a fantastic location and is a very comfortable hotel with great staff. My only complaint is the the wireless internet is awful for a hotel of this stature.

Excellent hotel, great location: central yet quiet...

We had a very comfortable stay. They have big rooms complete with all the amenities and it is very quiet. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Consistently good hotel. Great locations! Comfortable and quiet.

Have stayed here a number of times, well located hotel for Mayfair and Hyde Park area activities or business, as I have. Rooms are a decent size for London, and the hotel has very nice common areas. Only minor complaint is the wi-fi isn't particular zippy, not sure if due to heavy usage or other, but otherwise would recommend this hotel if you'll need to be in the area.

We accepted an offer to upgrade the room with the inclusion of a full English buffet breakfast, a 15 pounds reduction with each dining experience and entry to their club (tea, beverages, fruit, business center). What we received exceeded the cost of the surcharge. Beautiful, calm neighborhood with easy access to shopping, theaters, museums, etc.

large room, good location, nice stuff, I did not use the restrunt

We loved the hotel and location! The hotel was great, rooms were nice, big and very comfortable. The location was key, located in Mayfair - it is near everything!

Located near the American Embassy, the hotel is in a quiet, very well appointed part of London, also close to parks, shopping and national landmarks. Our room was plenty large, quiet, and very tasteful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel felt similar to a Fairmont. Be sure to try the coffee in the hotel bar/sitting room - it is the best.

Great location and a great staff. I am not much for using the hotel for anything but sleeping. They also have a great business center where you can use the computer, fax and print. I was surprised to find that while I was there the room had free WiFi. This is pretty much the only London hotel I stay in these days.

The hotel felt like a Grand Hotel of former times. Marble floors and beautiful carpets in the lobby, bell men in top hat and coats. A warm welcome, including tips on a local festival, was followed by a pleasant room (although the bed sagged). But, in order to use the Internet we had to visit the Business Center to get a special code for access to the wireless -- at a 4-hour or per day rate. Then, breakfast required first walking the gauntlet with the host who would not greet guests until they reached the front of the line. Being there on a busy Sunday, many guests waited in line unacknowledged as he attended to parties one by one. The staff needs a crash course from Danny Meyer in hospitality. Check-out meant another line, as the hotel had no express-check out function: everyone had to wait to approve a bill. Really, why not prepare the bills the night before like most hotels? The location was super convenient to shopping and Hyde Park. And, for the price, it was pretty darned good.

I love London and always enjoy staying in Mayfair. Since I'm selecting a hotel from abroad it's always a little difficult, but this hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff here was incredibly friendly, and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. There are several pubs, and restaurants very near by as well as a lot of shopping. We talked about trying out another part of town next time, but the staff was so helpful I don't think we'll want to try another hotel any time soon.

The hotel is on the same square as the US and Canadian Embassies. It is convenient to many places by walking. We would stay there again.

High quality reception staf Roberta by name

We stay here for short visits due to great location if we can get a reasonable price. The bargain rate room is small, but nicely finished. Hotel is well appointed and staff friendly and efficient. No nearby tube stops but three within 10-15 minute walk. Could benefit from a central area for newspaper perusal. All round good experience as we have found in the past.

Because it is an old hotel, the room details are not quite 4 star level, therefore I feel that it was over-priced (Over $300 per night after discount). But it is quiet, and the staff, the neighborhood, and location (to get around) were excellent. Hotel concierge did not have accurate information for tourists (for instance on Shakespeare Glove Theater tickets/schedule etc.) Otherwise it was satisfactory for us.
