Good central location.

Had a great stay. Hotel was lovely. Staff were informative and friendly. No chef at evenings ,having a week off. Chairs in room needed updating. That was only negatives there were. Good location for our needs. Looking forward to further stays.

I have to say the bed was the most uncomfortable we’ve slept in during 30 years of traveling. The mattress sloped so much - anyway. And we never complain but this was up there. Great location and really nice staff.

Ok for the price

We stayed for one night, mid week, for a theatre trip. Our twin room was small, and in need of updating: cluttered with too much furniture which was not in good condition, and the carpet needed replacing. But the heating worked, the shower was good, and the beds were comfy, which is what we needed for our short stay. The hotel is well located for getting around and was probably decent value for central London for the price we paid.

Staff were all friendly and welcoming and personable, but the room wasn't great for the cost. Tv didn't work and staff had to fiddle with it to get signal. Hairdryer didn't work. The hotel replaced it. Furniture old and scuffed. The door opened so close to the bed it banged on the end. But yes staff were lovely!

Reception were particularly unfriendly, it definitely didn’t feel like a warm welcome. Then when entering the room we found that our bed was a 3/4 bed / small double so only 122cm wide! After booking standard double and finding that we’d been given a much smaller bed for two adults, we were extremely disappointed. If you look on their own website they sell small double rooms at a cheaper rate, so definitely felt shafted. We’re one wide and one tall person so it was a very uncomfortable night. The room was tiny, which we’ve had in London before but some of the furniture was made for the room and some appeared to be plonked in there and there wasn’t enough space to manoeuvre around the bed without bumping into something. Felt more like 3 star.

Disappointed

The location is brilliant for walking to Covent Garden, SoHo and surrounding areas. The staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. My issue was the room. I travelled with a friend to have a fun few days in London and booked a twin room. The room was a tiny accessible room. I’m not convinced it would have suited a wheelchair user. The bathroom was beyond dated. The shower head hung off the wall, all the sealant needed replacing as it was mouldy in the shower and around the sink. The beds were ok but the room was boiling hot. The wardrobe was behind the door so we couldn’t open the wardrobe door properly because of the A hinge on the room door. (For those that have ever watched Room 101) Ironically the room was 101 which we did see the funny side as I would definitely put that room in 101! It needed a complete overhaul.
