It was my first stay at Intercontinental Park Lane. The customer service is simply perfect and you really feel at home. When checking in and out both Elena and Marie Sophie were 10000% professional, polite, elegant and friendly: you couldn't expect more :-) My room was really comfy and nice views over the park. Hope to be back soon
Staff is friendly and always willing to help with tours and places to visit. Kids love the location and breakfast is amazing. Restaurant staff is amazing. Really recommend the hotel. Rooms are refurbished and very clean !!
The hotel is very well situated to main attractions and within walking distance to the main ones. There is a tube station right outside to get around as well. Slightly disappointed in that the hotel is not up to par with the Sydney circular quay hotel in service. I used the instant service to organize a few things and although i speak fluent English they got it completely wrong or just didn't get done. Room was comfortable and clean. They provided a selection of very good quality tea which I enjoy, unfortunately they only supply those rubbish skim milk uht pots which is a huge disappointment and a let down for the great tea. I requested a small serve of fresh milk for my tea. When it arrived I was told it would be £9 and it was skimmed milk. I can't understand why i was sent skimmed milk when i asked for milk. Last time i checked cows supply full cream milk. Unfortunately little things like this makes it only a 4 out of 5
For over 620 GBP per night we had expected the suite to be a lot bigger. The bathroom was smaller than most standard rooms at any hilton! For the price it was not worth the price. The staff were all attentive and excellent and the executive lounge overrated. There were a few hiccups at the start where our key cards didn't give us access to lounge and had to ask for firm pillows etc. We were looking forward to an international breakfast as we do in many intercontinentals that we have experienced but was told thatbwe do not have access to the downstairs breakfast area and had to pay if we wanted to rat downstairs so we had to eat in the exec lounge !! But also found that there was minimal international breakfasts available. We have stayed in many intercontinentals in the world like Dubai, Athens, Singapore, Prague, Berlin etc and this is by far the most disappointing of all. The next door Hilton in the Park Lane suite is far better and cheaper and we have stayed there last year.
Excellent service, speedy check in, spacious rooms, lovely ambiance, impressive decor and friendly staff. Five out of five. Well done to the whole team. I have been several times here and this hotel never disappoints.
My wife and I try to stay at this hotel once or twice a year when we go to London for shopping or the theatre. This visit was planned for our 11th wedding anniversary, but unfortunately my wife fell ill and could not come with me, but she insisted that I still went to attend a show for which we had bought tickets... (My wife was well looked after at home before anyone worries:) All of our previous stays have been wonderful, but this was worth a review! From the check-in staff member who was kind enough to offer a complimentary breakfast, to the doorman who greeted me by name when I passed him on the way to breakfast, to whoever wrote the anniversary card and left me a cake in my room, to the concierge who delivered my bag to my car instead of just keeping it behind the desk and the other doorman who I recognise on every trip and had been there almost 11 years who offered me a bottle of water for my trip home... These were - in isolation - all small touches, but they came together to make my ‘mixed emotions’ visit ever so memorable. Thank you to all the staff involved - I look forward to my next visit...:)
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding that was held in the hotel. I was extremely disappointed with the hotel and it’s services. It’s quite obvious that it’s only the address and price that is 5 star. There was nothing wow about this hotel. I was with my elderly mother and had booked a twin room. On arrival we were told there were only double rooms available but to go to the room and someone would separate the beds. This was at 1630. At 1915 we went out to eat and at this point no one had come to separate the bed. We arrived back very tired and ready for bed. Someone had been in and turned the bed down but hadn’t separated the beds. I rang reception and requested this to be done. It’s now gone 2200. Someone came and separated the bed and then we had to wait for someone to make the beds. At this point it was nearly 23.00. We were so tired by now to hurry things along I actually made the beds with her. Not what I’d expect from 5 stars. The following night no body came to even turn the beds down. The following night I rang for the service. Not 5 star service. We ate off a plate on Friday night and on Sunday, 2 nights later, I had to ring for someone to remove the dirty plate and stock up our complimentary tea, coffee etc. Again not 5 star service. The furniture was shabby and bare. A huge ugly wooden bookcase with 3 books in it. The room was very small as was the bathroom. Prior to arriving at the hotel I had rung and asked if the bill had been paid in full as we had added an extra night, I was told it had. It was a very unwelcome shock therefore to be told on checking out I had another night to pay. I was very disappointed I didn’t know this when I checked in as I would have stayed the third night in a different hotel. I have had better stays elsewhere. The only positive I have is the pillows and they were pure luxury. If I thought I could buy them I would. Would I stay here again.... NO.
This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at this hotel and it has never disappointed. We had the fortune to be upgraded to a lovely suite with great views. It is in a great location close to a Tube station and near all the parks. Every member of staff we encountered was professional and efficient. The hotel was maintained to a very high standard. Special mention must go to Panny and Michael at the entrance who, despite seeing hundreds of guests every day, never forgot our names and, of course, to James Hodson, a Guest Relations Manager, who we had the pleasure of meeting. The best aspect of our stay was the Intercontinental Club Lounge. The service was excellent and we cannot praise the staff enough-every one of them. We always felt welcome here. Thank you all.
Located just across the road from Green Park, a quite location in Mayfair, yet a short walk to the underground and much of central London. The hotel is well maintained and clearly is top notch. The rooms are quite and comfortable, and the staff are efficient and helpful.
I stayed at the hotel on three separate occasions throughout my trip. Staff are professional, polite and friendly. I found the staff provided exceptional service, going above and beyond. The hotel is presented beautifully and smells amazing! Theos restaurant was outstanding. The Amalfi lemon tart and ragu dish were delicious. There is also a great selection of buffet and al la Carte choices for breakfast. Edward from concierge was very helpful with fantastic suggestions of restaurants in London. A thank you to the food and beverage staff who also provided quality service and were very friendly. Compliments to the general manager for his superb efforts of running the hotel. Without hesitation I would stay at the Intercontinental again.
