Booked 3 nights 1st night no sleep AT ALL, on second floor air con rumbled outside window all night, at 5am staff singing out on the hallway,in morning Complained at reception, about air con fans reaction was Oh yea they are a real pain , so noisy 😱, reaction to singing oh yea they have no consideration. Moved to 5th floor, quieter and slept at last, make a note parking is £20 Per Day , checked out after 2 nights as both fell ill with flu and family emergency , breakfast ok,
We have stayed in several Holiday Inn Express hotels as the rooms and beds are a good standard and breakfast is included. The hotel is in a really good location with great links to public transport - Wandworth Town railway station is 5 minutes walk away. It is also only a short walk to the River Thames, What really makes this particular Holiday Inn Express stand out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They couldn't do enough for us. When we asked for more coffee and milk for the room we were given a jug of fresh milk instead of the usual UHT pots. We ate at a riverside restaurant called Brady's which served fantastic fish and chips on the reception staff's recommendation. Although there is no restaurant in the hotel there is a microwave available to heat up ready meals etc and crockery and cutlery is left out in the bar area in the evening. There are also free daily newspapers.
It’s ok Bedroom nothing to shout about and no bath only a shower with average pressure Only a Macdonald and a M&S food in the BP garage next door Biggest rip off £20 per night to park and more expensive if you are not a resident higher again!! And it is run by parking eye!!! They are just bandits and thieves. I have had run ins with them before Wandsworth station is 250 yards away
We booked this hotel as we've stayed with Holiday Inn Express previously and have found it to be very good. This hotel didn't let us down. The hotel staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was included which was lovely. The hotel is well situated, with Wandsworth Town railway station just around the corner and Wandsworth High Street a short walk away. There are pubs nearby which serve food in the evenings. Also nearby is a M&S local and Tesco Extra, which were very useful.
This is a reasonably priced hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. However, it should be noted that there is no restaurant on the premises but there are options a short walk from the hotel. The breakfast which was included didn't break any records but was certainly as much as we needed with a reasonable selection including bacon and eggs. The room was only £77 per night but car parking in the hotel car park, which is limited, was a further £20 for 24 hours.
Overall great experience. All staff helpful and friendly at all times. Rooms clean and fresh smelling with all comfortable beds including all necessities required in room. Good location as well. Value for money.
There were 2 main reasons for booking the Holiday Inn express, firstly our UK visas arrived the night before we left and therefore only booked last minute and chose the brand because we can trust it. Secondly London is expensive and the hotel suited our budget and had breakfast included. The hotel itself was really nice, a bit old but nonetheless clean and provided all the amenities needed for the week stay. Breakfast had basics which was fine. They even offered us complimentary breakfast as we arrived before check in which was a nice gesture. The hotel is situated in Wandsworth which is slightly out of the touristy areas. Opposite the hotel was a macdonalds and a Marks and Spencer convenience store. Just up the road is a small mall with restaurants etc. To get to main areas Wandsworth has an overground station which can be taken to Victoria station or Waterloo thereafter you can switch to the underground to wherever you need to go, example Oxford street. The overground is easy to use however it just means an extra step to were you need to be, and after a full day of sightseeing it can be tiring to have to switch over from under- to overground. Another option is to catch a bus (bus stop 2 min walk across the hotel). The bus makes a lot of stops so it can take awhile. From Heathrow airport we took a metre taxi for 4 adults that costed about 60 pounds. Returning to the airport we were quite impressed as the hotel requested a taxi for us which was only 40pounds. Overall, the hotel itself was perfected for our trip. The location however wasn't ideal, we did manage but as a tourist who has limited time in the city we would have preferred to stay more central.
Nice clean room Has kettle a When you are in the bathroom there is a door that then Close it in front of the toilet Lovely staff Food is alright doesn’t have much for 1 to 5 years though Not to far from the tube It is next to a main road
Helpful staff, clean rooms, hot shower, comfortable beds, kettle (take some extra tea bags and milk) ironing board ,iron, parking (make sure you register your car reg number at reception on the screen. Very good Buffet breakfast ,fruit ,toast, rolls ,bacon ,beans sausages, tea, coffee, juice. ETC something for everyone. CHECK OUT THE DOG TRACK SIGN AT NIGHT
Not had the room refurb like a lot of them I stay in, Wimbledon being an example, but that aside it's very good. Parking is cheap and a 5 second walk to the reception, staff excellent. Very helpful. Rooms are clean, wifi strong, breakfast was one of the better ones I've had. Only downside would be the lifts, take ages, and are quite uncomfortable if a few of you in them with bags. That's a small thing though. A good example of the chain.
