Holiday Inn Express London Wandsworth3.0 out of 5.0

Very good. Room clean and staff very good. Location good. Slight issue with room as heating didnt appear to work , had to call reception three times and not sure it improved however overall still a very pleasant stay.
The Wandsworth Holiday Inn is just over the river from central London when travelling by car but the road over the bridge and into London can get very busy during rush hour. The rooms are comfortable although possibly more dated than some Holiday Inns I have stayed at with a smaller bathroom. Check-in seemed to take forever at this hotel with a lot of steps seeming necessary on the computer to process each booking which is not normally noticeable. Parking is £20 a night and is very limited with seemingly no guarantee of a space. There is a slightly cheaper pay and display car park over the road but not sure what the restrictions are there.
Booked last minute and got a really good rate, especially as it included breakfast. Quiet and clean room, polite staff and convenient location only a few mins from Wandsworth Town Station. Would stay again.
As holiday inns go , not bad, is clean. No fault of the hotel but train service during my stay was annoying so rather hard to get around. Quick to change rooms after a small incident and apologetic. Cant say much about the bathroom, water pressure in showers rather poor. Breakfast as much as continental do actually serve bacon and sausage and egg.
Stayed one night whilst visiting Chelsea on an award night. I have always been a fn of the IHG group and regularly use the Hi Express. the hotel is really good , but what made the stay excellent were the fantastic staff at reception. If you are looking for a stress free hotel with great staff and excellent customer service this is the hotel for you.
The staff are very good, probably the friendliest i have stayed. Bar is noisy in the morning for breakfast but staff keep it clean, food hot and buffet always stocked. The rooms are standard IHG express, but its a very handy location for Wandsworth station and right on the Thames so great for walks up to Battersea etc. Its a small car park though, so unless there early you may be disappointed.
Our stay at Holiday Inn Express London Wandsworth was really great. Even though the hotel is located at the south-western side of the city (about 35-39 minutes by the red bus to Central London), it had almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It takes about an hour to drive from Heathrow airport to the hotel. When checking in, the staff members were really helpful and hospitable, especially Micaela, who cheerfully welcomed us on our first night in London. The size of the room is just alright, not too small nor too big. It actually looks exactly like the pictures the hotel management provided on tripadvisor, and that was one of the things i liked the most, the hotel is pretty basic, but what you see is what you get. The double bed looked somehow small at first but it was good enough for two, and really comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. The bathroom was spotless, and the room had an iron, a kettle and both soft and hard pillows. The room had no drawers, nor any closed cupboards, just open shelves and hangers. There is no minibar, and even though the tea, milk and sugar are complementary, you have to get to the reception to buy a bottle of water as there was none provided in the room. There was no safe provided within the room. However, we were welcome to use any of the safes available at the reception, setting our own code to lock and unlock it. Hand soap and a head/body wash were provided in the bathroom, but they were not in those small bottles though, they were in wall-mounted dispensers. So that's bad news for those who like to collect the toiletries! Housekeeping drops by to clean the room every morning as usual, but on those days we hung out the "do not disturb" sign, they always left us a supply of toilet paper, fresh towels and tea at the door. That was a very nice gesture. There's no dining in service, but there is a McDonald's within a 3 minutes walk. And there's a good supermarket in the building just across the street (the compass house). The breakfast was good but basic, croissants, cupcakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, a selection of cereal and a selection of fruits and fruit jams, as well as juice, coffee and tea. Adding a selection of cheeses and maybe an omelette station would be nice. However, the staff always made sure to quickly replace any of the items once they run out at the buffet. I would totally recommend staying there, especially if you need to be away from central London. There's a train station and a few bus stops within walking distance, but since i found that the most convenient way to get around London is via the underground, i had a hard time going to and from the hotel to central London. I always needed to change from tube to bus or train to get there.
Fabulous stay. Best approaches on public transport via Waterloo. You need Wandsworth Town not Wandsworth Road stop. Hotel easily accessible from tube station on a day pass zone 1-6. Able to check in early and offered a drinks vouchers for our anniversary. Staff lovely. Quiet hotel and lovely breakfast available. Also allowed to leave bags after check out. Defo recommend to anyone looking for a base South-West London.
Situated in the South of London:10 minutes by cab to Battersea park and 20 minutes by cab from Paddington. Standard room and bathroom. Clean and rather quiet. Average breakfast but a very friendly staff.
Great stay again. Good room, well presented and tidy, comfortable bed, and good breakfast. It was quite quiet even though it is next to a busy road. We had no complaints and this is a repeat stay. We would recommend this hotel.
