We stayed here for 5 nights on a girls getaway. The location was good: ATM across the street. Several convenience stores within 5 minute walk. Tube/bus station a 15 minute walk away. Staff was accommodating, nothing spectacular, but courteous. Our flight got in at 6am, and they were able to check us in by 9am. Very helpful booking a taxi at the end of our stay. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and filling. Room was clean. Cramped quarters, but what I've come to expect from European hotels. Only negatives I have: we booked for two doubles and were given a double and pull out couch. Also, they have the signs to hang your towel if you want to reuse, which we did, but everyday they replaced them. Obviously not a big deal, but why have the signs about going green if you're not following that policy?
I enjoyed the hotel. My only gripe was that it is located about a15 minute walk to the tube.
The first night I spent here, there was water standing near the commode, the TV wasn't hooked up to a video source, the mattress had a crater in it that sucked you towards the middle of the bed like vortex, and there was an extra bed on the floor (shades of college days). When I complained they said they could put me in another room, but I would have to leave my luggage in a storage area. At the end of the day they couldn't get my luggage out of the storage area. It was unusually warm, but the air conditioner didn't work. When I reported the failure to the front desk they said they were not able to turn the air on in the fall. But I could have another fan (I guess to stir up more of the hot air). Internet service was unreliable and expensive. The almost $20 nightly fee got you a connection that was so sloooooooow you couldn't tell if it was down or not. A word to the wise. Save the $20 every day and go to some of the local hubs where there are free, reliable, wifi and good pub grub.
The hotel was clean and reasonably priced. The only reason I wouldn't stay there again is that it wasn't close enough to all the tourist spots and nightlife. The tube station is about a half mile walk from the hotel (not too bad), but if you want to stay out late you'll have to take a high-priced cab ride.
