I checked in on January 9,2026.The room was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. I arrived at the hotel at 1045 pm to find that the door to the hotel was locked. I could not find any bell or intercom. I knocked for a long time on the door but no answer. Attempted to call the hotel without success. I walked further down the street to a bar that let me in and directed me to the front desk. I was told by the receptionist that there is a doorbell but it’s hidden under the Christmas decorations. The hotel website lists room service as an amenity , however I was unable to order as it ended at 1030 pm. The dining area for breakfast was warm , clean and inviting. Don’t bother with the breakfast. My eggs were overcooked, ham was too hard to eat and my toast was cold.

This hotel is ideal for train transit in and out of London. It sits directly over the subway but you hear none of the noise. You can catch a train in 5 minutes. Couldn’t be more convenient

Great room (upgraded), peaceful for the central location it enjoys. Would have preferred a security pass for the lift, we did find a non-resident in the pantry (which had bonus snacks and drinks) on our way home from the theatre district. We were given an attic room even though the hotel was not full. We had to go back to reception because our key didn’t open the door. The room was badly lit. One bedside light was missing a switch. Bathroom was so small that trying to use the basin water splashed on the floor. The loo roll was hidden behind a bath robe. Eggs Royale came on a solid untoasted bagel instead of a muffin. Only reason I gave it one star instead of zero was great food in the bar.

Lovely well-equipped hotel. A couple of small gripes: We had a long wait to check in because only one staff member was present at the front desk, and she was occupied with a phone call. Also the soap bottle in our room had a broken pump.

The room was indeed beautifully clean.. The staff were cheerful, polite and helpful. I had no idea how to work the coffee machine in my room, but that was ok.. because I went to the larder and made tea. A bigger cup might be nice! I'm sure if I had asked the staff, they'd have demonstrated the coffee machine..... but I was content not to bother with it!!

Room was clean comfortable and well equipped. Bar area is nice. Staff at the counter could be welcoming - retuning later in the evening we were not even acknowledged. Also upon check in they gave us a key and room number that was already occupied leading to a very awkward encounter with a furious American lady who was in her pyjamas.
