I was very happy with our experience staying at this hotel. It has all the conveniences of home with access to a kitchenette, washer, iron. The location is superb, very close to Victoria station, Westminister Abbey and Buckingham palace. Tons of restaurants are nearby. We had some issues with some of the appliances, but the staff was very responsive and immediately came to troubleshoot our difficulties The layout is quirky. Very heavy fire doors for the kichenette. The tv channel selection is very limited. All in all I felt it was a great value. I would definitely stay there for a future visit. Would caution anyone booking to be aware that for groups of 3 people, you really need a 2 bedroom apartment, so that everyone can sleep comfortably.

Rooms were nice and big but it needs a table/stand for personal items in the bathroom. There were two of us and we sure could have used an extra chair. One of us was always sitting on the bed , uncomfortable. Otherwise a very nice stay and convient location

The location is great - in London but quiet and residential. A tube station is a short walk away so everything is easily accessible. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen makes staying in London much more affordable. This is our 2nd stay here and we will now only stay at Dolphin House when we visit London!

While the room was clean and mainly comfortable there wasn't a living room chair to relax in. There was a kitchen but nowhere to sit and eat. The location is great for taking the tube, just a couple of blocks from the Pimlico tube station. The apartment building is awkwardly arranged with a small restaurant/ bar tucked down a hallway.

Good location, easy to find. No air movement in room which made it difficult to adjust to.

I highly recommend Dolphin House. Very close to the Pimlico Tube Station which will get you anywhere. Walking distance to Buckingham Palace and other places. Very quiet, nice neighborhood with plenty of amenities, and the rooms are clean and quite large. Definitely well worth the money.

The staff was very helpful and tried to contact Carnival cruise line in the US from London on my behalf.

Clean and comfortable rooms close to a subway makes this a great base from which to explore London. They ought to offer free wifi in the rooms and not only in the lobby, but the overall value was great anyways.

Only stayed 1 night but hubby & I agreed would be our top choice for when go back to London. Hotel is an old war hospital & has lovely grounds that include bar/restaurant, gardens, indoor pool & work out center, spa & also offers rooms that are studios with kitchens. Beds were best of Italy/UK trip. Only had 1 night on long layover back to CA, but would stay at this place again. Great for a nice breakfast, fiting in a work out & hanging out in the gardens with coffee. A touch off the beaten path, 15-20 min walk to Big Ben & B Palace (which we liked!). Great staff too!

Updated rooms, on-site gym, friendly staff and a very desirable location

Close to tube and in excellent neighborhood, room was spacious and well equiped. Not your typical hotel, but wonderful for experienced travelers who like to explore on their own.

Terrible service!!! The hotel was super cheap in terms of providing service, but charged like a 4 star hotel. Very basic things that come standard in most hotels like breakfast, internet access, local phone calls, were charged! On top of that, they don't refill anything. The soap they give you is all you get for the ENTIRE stay. Even if you finished a bottle, they won't refill...they might though but you might get slammed with a service fee. They wash the 2 towels you get every 3 days only; and they don't even feel nice. The towels were rough and get sticky when wet. The door to the room was also faulty. We only realized this the second day we were there only by chance. We pushed the door after we closed it from the outside and it opened to our surprise. The door doesn't lock properly! Every time we left the room, we had to open and close the door like 10 times until it locks...and this is NOT an exaggeration. One time I got so upset that I slammed the door so hard for it to finally lock. And to top it all off, I felt like they treated us like criminals right when we entered. During check in, they not only asked for my passport, but they also wanted to look at my fiance's passport. Then they asked me to put a $200 deposit should we decide to use any of their "wonderful" services like if we wanted breakfast or use internet in our room--um, which should be free. This was the single most expensive place I stayed in, and the cheapest too!

Used the Dolphin Square for the first time in Oct 2011. Location is really convenient to tubes but the room could use a few tweaks. The lighting was very poor - almost impossible to see to read or to put makeup on The lighting made the closet a dark hole and if the closet door was open you couldnt open the bathroom door or get into the room. We resorted to taking the shades off the lamps but it didnt help much. The information book in the room gave another guest's phone number as the number to retrieve messages - Im glad Im not him !

We spent 15 days at this hotel. Choosing this hotel was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. We stayed in a deluxe one bedroom. It was extremely spacious. Staying in an "apartment" made going back to the hotel more like going home. We had a place to eat, cook and relax. The rooms were impeccably clean. The staff was more than helpful. Whatever we needed or asked for was arranged for immediately. The location was in a quiet area which was nice after all the crowds and hussle and bussle of the city. It was only a block from an underground station which was one stop from Victoria Station which has buses and trains. Also, this station houses several tour offices for day trips and tickets for different sites in London. There were several restaurants nearby as well as a variety of stores. In the hotel, there was also a small supermarket and fruit and vegetable stand which had just about anything you would need. The hotel was perfect for our trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Getting to the hotel was so simple from Victoria station. Pimlico station is also within walking distance and the underground is a great way to get around. Staff were super friendly and helpful! Room was great, clean and big. I had a suite. The only issue was there no air conditioning in my room. Not a big deal in winter, but summer will get very hot. If they had free wifi ... I would be very happy! Loads of restaurants, supermarket, bars, coffee joints etc within walking distance, about a 10 minute walk.

The Dolphin House is located just a few blocks from the Pimlico tube Station. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. The hotel also boasts complete gym facilities as well, an indoor pool and squash courts. The only downside about Dolphin House is the fact that you must pay for the Internet, about $15.00 per day. Considering that the rooms are a minimum of $200.00 per night, this charge seems excessive.

We spent 8 nights at the Dolphin House in January 2011. The hotel has a nice location in a residential area near the Pimlico tube stop, so it is quiet. We were able to sleep with our windows open without being disturbed by street noise. The hotel in general is pretty standard. We had a studio room, which was a good size for a London hotel. Really liked that our room had a small kitchen so we were able to eat in our room a few times. There is a small grocer down in the shopping arcade where we could buy food and snacks. However, the hotel also has a restaurant, which was convenient. One of my favorite things about the hotel was the fitness center. It's a good size, but could get get crowded during peak workout times (morning and evening). They also offer a lot of different fitness classes, but I didn't attend any.

What a disappointment. great location. Amateur reception staff. Check out time is 11am I believe, but at 9am, the day I was leaving, there was a very quiet tap on the door and, even though there was a "do not disturb" sign on the door, a housekeeper came in. She had been told I had gone, even though there was still a phone bill outstanding. Receptionist said "it was mistake", supervisor said the same. I asked for the manager (who was not in apparently) to email me with an explantion... It's now 18 days later and not a word. I'm from London and I was shocked at their cavalier attitude. P

dolphin House was perfect! It is in a very quiet neighborhood away from the insanity that is the West End/Leichester Square/Picadilly Circus area of London. We slept with our windows open every night and were never woken by cars or sirens or people talking outside. Our room was immaculate, The bed was very comfortable a bit on the firm side, the bathroom was great and we LOOOOVED the heated towel rack! We liked having tea and an electric kettle in the room but we would have liked a wider selection and some creamer of some kind. We have had this available in hotels not nearly as nice so it was surprising. Also, they never changed out our cups and saucers which was a little gross. Otherwise the room was great, the staff was very professional and we never felt as though we were having to do without anything.

The hotel location was nice and quiet but close to the tube. Two main problems: 1. The room I had was across the hall from the service eleveator. The entire corridor smelled like a garage (I believe it was car fumes from the basement garage). 2. The safe didn't work. I did speak with the manager and the first person said he didn't smell anything. The second person was in the room working on the safe and he said it was food smell until I took him out in the hall and he got on the service lift - where the smell was strong. Oh and they don't have air conditioning so don't go in the summer.
