Great location within walking distance to many attractions. We had a room on the third floor. No elevators and no air conditioning. Room did get quite warm during the day. Breakfast was adequate, even though it was the same thing every day. Magdalena was wonderful. Always extremely polite and helpful. A great asset.
Great service by Hotel Staff. The breakfast served was excellent.
Typical older hotel in a semi residential area. We stayed on main floor in a quad. Tight room but fine for sleeping. Beds not too soft and nice. No a/c or fan. Windows open, but do have security bars. Staff is brilliant. 2 blocks from Pimlico underground stop. Pretty quiet at night on our side. Great shower and light breakfast.
For the money, this is a great place to stay if you are more interested in spending your money to have a good time in London rather than spending it to have a nice place to stay in London. It's close to Pimilico Tube station which is probably the least used so no crowds. I also recommend taking the tube to Pimilico then walking. Much shorter walk. I honestly didn't pay much attention to restaurants in the area as I ate elsewhere. I bed was a little on the soft side for my taste but it wasn't uncomfortable. The staff were great. They couldn't do enough to help. If your looking for somewhere cheap to lay your head for the night after an entire day of sightseeing then this is the place for you. If you want more than that, look elsewhere.
This hotel, though maybe more like a bed and breakfast, was perfectly adequate -- especially for the price. My goal in London was to see as much of the city as possible, not to stay in a plush hotel. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Pimlico Underground Station, making it easily accessible to the entire city. It is a bit more than a mile walk to Buckingham Palace and a bit more than 1 1/4 miles to Big Ben. The neighborhood has many pubs, restaurants and small grocery stores. The daily continental breakfast was fine and appreciated. The hotel does not have air conditioning, nor does it have an elevator/lift. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but again, perfectly adequate. Given the excellent location and good price, I would definitely stay there again.
