I really wanted to love this place. The location is perfect...close to two tube stations, tons of coffee bars, restaurants, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and The Natural History Museum. BUT!! We rented a one bedroom apartment, unit 407. It should have been perfect...everything we needed size wise, amenities, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and bath, even a sweet balcony over looking the museum BUT the furniture was TIRED, soiled, faded and fraying at the edges. Tables were chipped and the rug looking in need of a good shampoo. The room smelled like old cigarettes, and the water in the shower like pure funk. I almost hate to write the review because the STAFF WAS AMAZING, and tried to help, but frankly the condition of the rooms was beyond their ability to improve without serious renovation. I'm afraid we wont be going back
We recently stayed for 3 nights in a Delux 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean with washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and a full sized fridge. The staff were friendly. My only irritation - and its minor - is that the tea/coffee sachets, soap, dishwasher tablets etc are not replaced. This was explained to me on check in but I thought it was a bit on the nose not to replenish on a short term stay. I think it's wasteful for guests to have to buy large items they have to leave behind before flying home.
This place was perfect for our needs, being located midway between South Ken and Gloucester St tube stations, and literally a 5 min walk to the V&A, Natural History Museum, and a 7-8 min walk to Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace,Kensington Gardens, and Hyde Park. Lots of cafes and shops in the vicinity. We had a deluxe one bedroom apartment with balcony at the rear of the 4th floor which was quiet, private, and sunny - great to wake up and have sunlight flooding into the living room and bedroom. Everything necessary for a short-term stay was provided in terms of facilities - dishwasher, washer-dryer, and other kitchen appliances. The apartment was serviced daily - vacuumed, bed made, linen replaced, bathroom and kitchen wiped down - cleaning was exemplary! We arrived before the 2pm check-in, and staff allowed us to move into the room a little earlier, which was much appreciated given that we'd just come in after a 14-hour night time flight. There is a starter pack of cereals and tea and coffee, and basic toiletries (soap, shampoo) but it is up to the occupant to replenish during their stay. Would recommend, and when next in the area we would definitely stay at 130 Queens Gate again!
Our family of two adults and two children, stayed twice during April at 130 Queensgate apartments. We stayed in two bedroom superior apartments. These apartments are very comfortable, modern and well equipped. The apartments were spacious and even though we were in a great location of London, they were very quiet so a good night sleep was easily achieved. The location in South Kensington is fantastic. Easy walk to the tube, museums, Kensington Gardens, etc. It was great to have a washing machine and dryer plus fully equipped kitchen When travelling with a family of four. The staff at the reception desk and the housekeeping team were fabulous. They were able to help me with any requests. We really enjoyed our stays at these apartments. Thank you
I need to mention the manager, Vangelis. What a most excellent host, as are all of the staff. They go that little extra mile to ensure a great stay. Perfect location, lovely comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast, but what makes the stay, is the staff. Thank you very much and a massive thanks to the front desk team and Vangelis in particular. Found this hotel online and only trusted the reviews... and it did not disappoint! Lovely apartment for my boys in another room and privacy for me and my wife in another. Stellar kitchen and bathroom. The living area fronting the street is fantastic. And South Kensington is such a nice, quiet neighborhood - plenty of food and drink options around within a 3 mile radius and tube station is less than 10 mins away by foot. Added bonus: the Natural History Museum and V&A Museum is just around the corner. Good job 130!
This place was offered after a disappointing start at another hotel close by. When I came to see the place before I moved in, it felt as a breath of fresh air. You start feeling pampered from the moment you enter the lobby area. Excellent staff. Rooms are nicely decorated and kept clean to very high standards. There is a little gym on premises for very basic workouts. Excellently located for touring around and a stone throw away from nice restaurants and underground stations. Highly recommended!
I've been blessed to stay in many of London's finest hotels over the years but after discovering 130 Queen's Gate I just book here. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is kind and helpful. The location is central. I recommended it.

It was a great almost 3 weeks stay here. Very friendly staff and helpful with request or daily delivery’s while not at home. All there what is need it in the kitchen. Loved the whirlpool after long cold day out. Very clean hotel with daily housekeeping except Sunday. Surly will stay there the next time again.
