Overall a nice hotel. A bit awkward to get to the first time as it is not directly on a main road, but easy enough once you figure it out. The only minor issue I have is in regard to the TV location. The rooms (at least ours) are not a conventional, "pass by the bathroom upon entering" configuration. ...
Hotel was in an great area was as described. It was a short drive to downtown Charleston and was easy off and on from the major road ways. Marina was a nice area to walk around and the dogs loved it.
Location, location, location. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location to the major attractions, literally across the street from the market. Room decor is somewhat dated with peeling paint on ceiling and walls but all necessary amenities are present and functional - you are in charleston ...
Highly recommend. The room structure is pretty bizarre--very long and narrow. But overall it was exceptionally clean and I felt very comfortable. Great little kitchenette and the pool was a treat for my kids (we'd been driving for hours). Breakfast was really lovely with a lot of selections and everything ...

This hotel is a cheaper alternative to staying directly in Charleston, South Carolina. The amenities are adequate and the complimentary breakfast wasn't bad. Some downsides to staying here: it's about ten to fifteen minutes away from Charleston (which isn't all that bad), the walls are paper thin (we heard loud door slamming, loud talking, and other things that aren't very approbate for younger children), one of our queen beds had hair all over the sheets and pillows, the sides of the toilet wasn't cleaned, the fans are pretty loud, the room was dusty, and the staff are okay. Overall, if you're looking for something cheaper and just staying for two nights then it isn't a bad place to stay (Mount Pleasant also have some very good restaurants, including Page's Okra Grill). If you're looking for something a little more quiet and upscale, then I'd recommend staying in Charleston.
First time in Charleston and loved the stay at the Ansonborough Inn! Friendly staff and super charming ambiance!! Highly recommend!!
It was our 24th wedding anniversary and our first time in Charleston. The Mills House was the perfect location in the French Quarter. The hotel suprised us with champagne and chocolate strawberries!
