Clevelander Hotel – Adults Only

Great location. Fun atmosphere.

I traveled to Miami solo the Sunday before a Monday business meeting. The Clevelander has a great location on South Beach, right across from the beach and provides beach towels, and had a very fun atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon for people watching, NBA game watching, and enjoying the weather on the patio/pool area. The room was clean and comfortable. Not very big, but not cramped.

Catalina Hotel & Beach Club

Nice night

We stayed one night to hang out on South Beach. Check-in is after 3. But they were able to accommodate us earlier. I paid for a third person in the room but then they didn't want to give them a beach chair etc. When I ask to speak to the manager they relented and gave us the Third persons amenities. Valet parking is $40. Biggest problem is it took almost an hour to get our car. Location is good to have a free drink happy hour from 7 to 8. We ate at Maxine's and it was good. Just a block to the beach and they provide Beach towels and chair rentals at the beach for free. Tip- park at the 16th Street public ramp $20 overnight and just walk the two blocks to hotel or use a lyft.

Rodeway Inn South Miami Coral Gables

Built over 50 years ago; CHARMING

We found this South Miami spot over 5 years ago and LOVE the nearby community. It includes a Lebanese resturant, Italian, Portuguese restaurants, new Falafel shop; a shopping mall, CVS pharmacy, Starbucks and a new Ceillo coffee shop. Located near commuter train and a short trip to the beach. Free shuttle to port of Miami. Low in price..nice!
