We liked the idea of being in town since we like to walk, and that worked out well. However, (1) the mattress in our room was really low quality and neither of us slept well. This is not something we are normally fussy about. (2) Even though we were on the top (5th floor), we had loud noises from festivities outside the hotel after midnight. This is not at all the hotel's fault, but it was quite loud. (3) The included breakfast was bad. Again, we're familiar with the range of quality in hotel breakfasts and this is not something we're snooty about.. Hotel staff were lovely and our room was clean, but I would not choose this hotel again.

built in 1928 this hotel brings a lot of nostalgia with old period correct elevator and furnishings . If you're looking for average accommodations and a nostalgic glimpse into the past you will enjoy your stay . If your looking for modern amenities and furnishings look elsewhere

Unfortunately we found this hotel in a part of town where we did not feel safe walking around the streets. It was not located near any convenient amenities, if you are a traveller stopping overnight on your journey. Better to continue through this side of town to the area where there is the large shopping centre and more food service offerings.

Excellent front desk service/information, parking by hotel. Very friendly & informative waiter in pub restaurant; dinner & dessert were delicious! Considering this hotel is very old, the room bed linens/towels etc were great! The pictures, drapes and woodwork definitely reflect a historic time. If you prefer everything new & up to date, perhaps this hotel is not your preference.
