Front desk staff were friendly. Room was a good size and internet connection is very good. The bed was well used and far too soft to be comfortable. I went to use the hot tub and the water was cold as ice. Went to front desk and was told someone spilled something into the hot tub and they had to refill it about an hour ago. It was refilled but not heated. Doesn't take that long to heat it. No sign at the pool saying the hot tub wasn't available. No one bothered asking me how my stay was when I dropped off my keys. I wasn't impressed so it's back to Hampton suites next trip.
Stayed here one night with my small dog. The dog rooms are on the ground floor and there is a heat pump attached to the wall outside every window on the ground floor. Every few minutes it would start up and sounded like a truck driving next to the window. The carpets were stained, the bathroom was small. The breakfast was bland and boring. The beds were uncomfortable. Mentioned to the front desk about the heat pump noise they just shrugged there shoulders. Lots of other hotels in the area, I won't be back
We stayed one night room was spacious, bed was comfortable, very quiet location, check in and check out were quick and easy. We had booked a pet friendly room that was located near an exit allowing for easy exit. Recommend this hotel
i am having a hard time writing this review. I am afraid if too many people find out how nice this hotel is i will have a harder time being able to book a room here , but have decided i will be honest anyways . This is the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in , seriously .I travel a lot , and do stay here often .I am picky about things where i stay (retired Janitorial Contractor ) and this hotel is just the best .It is so very clean , comfortable and friendly . I have the breakfast always, very nice , good choices, and the most important , they have great coffee there . There is a swimming pool which is really nice . The people here are just the greatest , they have been a big help to me when i have needed help . So when i come here i feel very safe , the rooms are always super clean , comfortable and then i get great breakfast in the morning , Perfect !
This was a great hotel in a convenient location to overnight during a road trip. Dog friendly which was hard to find since we were traveling with 2 pets. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and it included a free breakfast. Would stay again.
Whenever in town on business, I stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is nice and the rooms are clean. Next time in Kamloops, I recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express!
Due to a winter storm we were forced to spend 1 night at the Holiday Inn,found the check in speedy. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff seemed friendly. Did not use the pool or gym.
We stayed Saturday night. We booked 4 rooms on the 3rd floor. Hoping to be away from possible noise as I read they host a lot of young sports teams. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The king bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was average. Great for families with young children. Can’t complain much when it’s for free but scrambled eggs taste like instant. They had sausage and turkey sausage. Small cinnamon rolls. You make your own pancakes with a press of a button and you can make instant oatmeal too. Limited seating, doesn’t accommodate a large group at a time. We had to wait for seating to open. At 10:30 on the dot they run from the kitchen to start gathering up the food and they take the cinnamon rolls first... so don’t be late if you want free breakfast! Back to the room; the water temp in the shower is locked to conserve energy, I couldn’t get the kind of hot shower I’m used to. And housekeeping coming down the hall to every doorway with a screaming vacuum at 8:15am on a Sunday morning should not be allowed! The front desk staff were very pleasant and even gave us a 10% off dinner coupon for Romeos Kitchen just down the road.
Front desk staff had numerous mixups re: room allocations. Very overwhelmed and needed assistance. Rooms are very clean. However. hotel structure permits noise travel from all angles including up above. Do NOT stay on first floor, as noise from lobby and kitchen area was excessive. We were travelling with our volleyball team and there were several other high school teams at the same hotel which made for a noisy night. Location was good.
We booked a king bed room and it had the most comfortable armchair and ottoman which was appreciated after an 8 hour drive. I never left that chair with my feet up. My husband went to the casino which is just across the road, spent a little money and brought me back dinner. The bed was super comfortable and the room was sparking clean. Staff was nice. Quiet rooms even though it is just off the highway. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
