This is a very clean and comfortable Inn. Staff is friendly, check in and out very smooth and seamless. The breakfast is great, something for everyone. Not a fancy thing by far, but clean and adequate.

We used the Holiday Inn for a stopover on the way to Banff. The hotel is in a good location with lots of restaurants, shops etc near by. The hotel itself is bright and fresh and rooms and public areas are cleaned to a high standard. The breakfast had a good range of items and you could get coffee and drinks to go. Just to say that only piece of equipment worked in the gym. Good thing it was just me! Nice pool and hot tub to relax in after a long drive too!

I stay at HIE regularly and know what to expect. This HIE in Kamloops looks to have been renovated in the past 2-3 years as I saw newish carpet and paint here and there. But when they renovated - they didn't address some basic problems with this site and I would recommend against staying here. Our room was fine on the surface...but look a bit deeper and we saw things wrong. The wall mounted A/C unit has a flip-up panel to control the temp, fan, etc. Our unit's flap actually was scotch taped shut so we couldn't adjust the A/C in any way. Fortunately it was set on "cold" which helped us sleep...but the morning was difficult as we were freezing. The bathroom showed caulk coming loose and the toilet seat was loose. Paint was bare here and there. Not great at all. The worst was the breakfast room which is wholly inadequate for its purpose. Too small with too many tables and seats (a hodge lodge of styles) jammed together. There were some places where it was almost impossible to even GET to your seat. When they renovated ... this obvious short coming should have been addressed. Overall - I don't recommend this HIE. Sorry. There's better out there. A disappointing experience.

Good, informative check-in reception and recommendations for evening food. Room was clean and included everything necessary to make you comfortable for a stopover between long drives. Breakfast bar was well above the standard expected and very welcomed! Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Most of our experiences with various Holiday Inn Express in different locations have been good and this was no exception. We stayed overnight on our way back to Alberta . Our room was clean and comfortable; we had a good night's sleep on the king bed. The staff was friendly and helpful (the lobby was being renovated during our stay).

This is a well-kept hotel with a very friendly staff and clean rooms. Soft towels too. Slept well and while off highway, very quiet. Nice restaurants nearby. Complimentary hot breakfast. Offers coffee 24/7. If you're looking for clean, this is the place. Loved staying here.

We recently stayed overnight on our way back to Alberta from Vancouver Island. Because we weren't sure how far we would get we didn't have a reservation so by the time we arrived all that was available was one king room on the main floor or rooms at a higher nightly rate with two queen beds. We didn't want two beds so we were going to take the king room when I noticed a sign in the office that indicated that the hotel is pet friendly. My husband is allergic to cats and dogs and the desk clerk confirmed that pets may have been in the room. He very nicely offered us one of the double queen rooms at the same price. Very much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable and even though it was right next to the elevator, it was fairly quiet. We did find the air conditioning unit located in the window to be rather noisy and it was somewhat hard to control the temperature in the room so we decided to open the window despite the smoke outside. They offer a decent breakfast typical of many hotels. Better to get there a little early so you are not battling everyone else to get to the food and find somewhere to sit.

We were a family of four visiting Kamloops for the first time. We stayed for one night. The hotel itself looked well kept and modern as do most Holiday Inn Expresses, it was clean which is all that really matters. The staff were friendly. In the morning there was a free, large, hot/cold breakfast with ample choices to get your day started. We checked in late and left early the next morning. We would usually take a few hours to explore but due to the smoke from the forest fires, we pressed on. Therefore I can't offer much with respect to location and things nearby. The one con, and this is true of most places we stay, when the reservation is for a family of four why are there only three sets of towels in the room??? We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express while traveling through Kamloops. The Hotel was exactly what I expect when I stay at a HIE. The rooms were clean and modern. The stay was friendly and very accommodating. Thank you HIE Kamloops!

A typical Holiday Inn Express. Decent looking rooms. Not a bad lobby. TONS of power outlets for your gadgets. Location- nowhere near the airport. There are a few useful places nearby (gas station, movie theatre, malls, casino) but it's a pretty sparse area overall Breakfast - typical of current hot breakfasts on hotel, but it's literally in the lobby. Most times you get a separate room but nope... Bathroom - shower head sprays too wide (gets all over the floor unless you pull the curtain quickly), shower curtain is too short (because of the curved rod), and the stupidest toilet paper holder where rolls will go flying off if you're trying to take some off. Otherwise, was a decent stay
