The hotel is very inviting, looks much better on the inside than from the outside. The rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, with super soft bedding. The temperature in the room was excellent, we never had to adjust it. Bathrooms are large, with a big countertop to spread your stuff about. No soaker tub, but the shower is great. Although the hotel is located right next to the Trans Canada Highway, there was NO noise in the room at all.
I am not a fan of Coast Hotels but enjoyed the Coast in Kamloops. Everything about it is unique in a surrounding of the standard road side inns. Inner courtyard and pool was loved by my daughter. Great pool, kiddie pool and hot tub. On site restaurant was great and had amazing service from one of the housekeepers. Lots of parking and central to a ton of things.
We stayed at the Coast again (3rd year in a row!) in a 2 bedroom suite for the Mother's Day Softball tournament. Large suite with enough room to have the team meetings. Clean room and conveniently located. Did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant downstairs but heard a lot of good things from the other parents. Can't wait to come back!
With a family emergency, we needed to stay in Kamloops overnight, I needed no extra stress and the Coast Hotel in Kamloops provided the comfort, the familiarity, and convenience of easy access off the highway that we have counted on many times. I love that it is dependable and always pleasant to stay!
The beds are so comfortable. The staff is very friendly and always Eady to help. The hotel is quiet so easy to sleep. They have a great restaurant called Romeo’s in the hotel. My favorite place in Kamloops. Back again in a couple of months. Also an awesome pool.
They did a great job keeping the room clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. I observed that the entire hotel seemed to be kept in great overall condition and the location was very centralized for any activities in the Kamloops area.
We initially felt we’d drawn the short straw on our Rocky Mountaineer trip, as this hotel is way out on the edge of town. However, whenever the RM train comes in, they lay on a regular shuttle down to town.....and back. It’s nicely set on the hillside, and is well presented, very clean room, bedding and carpets, sparkly clean bathroom with bath, little balcony, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee........if you like that sort of thing, large room with two huge beds and v quiet. There are restaurants and shops locally, and great views down to town. Town didn’t look too interesting anyway..........maybe we drew the long straw!
The room was suitable, corporate rate reasonable. there is a large interior area with place to sit and chat. Restaurant food, service and pricing is appropriate. Ample outside parking, even for larger vehicles. Close to other amenities.
Nice hotel with a pool and gym. For a visitor this hotel is central to shops and tourist services. Big rooms, good hot water, quiet. Romeo’s restaurant was very good. Plenty of children but the relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel meant everyone was comfortable.
We stayed at the Kamloops Coast for the third time in five years and found it continues to be convenient, clean, accommodating and comfortable. Rooms are a nice size, and the front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. will stay again. However, the attached restaurant has declined, both in quality and in service. For the first time in my long travelling career I got food poisoning from my meal, making for a very unpleasant night. Plus, i find it less than helpful when the serving staff come by my table, no fewer than five times during our meal to ask how "everything is tasting". Please, train your staff that once is eneough!
