We stayed here for 1 night on our way back to Vancouver and loved it! The hotel is so nice and clean and the rooms are modern and spacious. We stayed in a Superior Room with a King Bed facing the highway - the only downside of this being the road was a bit noisy for me, I'd have preferred to stay in a room poolside. The hotel restaurant serves fantastic food and good customer service at night HOWEVER, the staff and menu in the morning was abysmal! We weren't seated, served or given our bill for ages and the waitress barely cracked a smile when she spoke to us. The oatmeal was the worst meal on our entire month long trip and the coffee was undrinkable. Apart from that experience, we highly recommend staying here when passing through - note its located on the highway away from the central part of town so not a good spot if you want to explore Kamloops.
Hotel was excellent but disappointed with the quality of the restaurant meals. The chef needs to up his game with the quality of the food. Also felt slightly rushed even though restaurant was fairly empty
Comfortable, six-night stay in a large, clean and cozy room. Excellent value. Enjoyed the cookies available in the lobby each evening. Front desk staff signed me up to the Coast Hotel loyalty program immediately so I could get credit for my current stay. Would not hesitate to stay there again!
We were on the Rocky Mountaineer Train Tour and arrived late in day for an overnight stay. This hotel was clean, organized and welcoming. It has a restaurant, which I heard from others was very good, but we wanted to walk after being on train all day and went to pub close by. The room was spacious, clean, and staff were helpful.
Lovely hotel, there is loads of parking. The staff where very welcoming when checking in and asked if there was anything else they could do for us. The reception area is nice with sofas and a business center which you can use at anytime. The rooms are very large and spacious, we had two large beds and comfy chair. We also had a balcony which was nice as the weather aloud us to have the door open. The beds where very comfortable and we slept really well, the rooms are lovely and dark at night. You have a kettle, coffee machine (Starbucks) microwave and fridge In the room which is handy when staying a few days. The hotel has a lovely pool and good restaurant and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again as great location and spot on
We were in a tour group. Wasn't too sure what to expect. After all, Kamloops is a remote town in the middle of the desert. However,I take my hat off to the Coast Hotel. 1. Super-efficient with luggage transfer. 2. Bus pick up on time and we were dropped off at the door. 3. Room was very good Spacious, modern, clean and comfy. 4. Free Wifi. 5. Snacked 5 minutes away at Tim Horton's. We were impressed!!!
Stayed one night on our way from Vancouver to Jasper. Arrived a bit early and room wasn't ready but young lady at reception managed to find another room of the same type that we could check into straight away which was much appreciated. Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Pool area was nice and we had a good dinner in the restaurant.
Lovely clean hotel in Kamloops with an interior oasis with swimming pool, kiddies shallow pool and whirlpool. Quiet location, comfy beds and pillows and very spacious rooms. The restaurant serves very good food and is off the pool area so no walking! That was nice as the smoke from the wildfires was quite thick outside. I would recommend this hotel for couples and families for sure.
The room we had was very comfortable with a microwave, coffee maker & kettle for tea but did not have mini frig or safe. The bathroom was well stocked. It had a nice pool area and a restaurant on site. As mentioned by others it is well away from town which makes getting into town a hassle.
We found this a disappointing end to first day on Rocky Mountaineer There is a free shuttle to downtown ( too far to walk) but for us it was just too much of a hassle given time of arrival in afternoon so Kamloops is just a name on our travels There is limited dining nearby - two restaurants, a Hortons up hill and take away down the hill. Bed was lumpy and sagged in middle, staff were quick to assist with phone and alarm clock problem but in the early morning the wake up call still couldn't be answered or alarm clock sound. We had to leave at 6am to catch Rocky Mountaineer
