I just wanted 2 nights at a fair price. Nothing special. Well the only thing that was good was clean sheets. The tv didn't work. My key never worked. The security doors were always ajar. I could hear large quantities of people in adjacent rooms and pets on a no pet floor. I could smell cooking from one room that was pretty amazing considering we only have microwaves. But it smelled damn good. I'm not positive but I think multiple people are sleeping in the rooms cause there are no rentals. I won't be staying here again tho. My days of cheap hotels is over.
A bit far from the airport. Rooms are nice and clean. But there seems to be some long term tenants there, and they are quite noisy late at night, with back and forth activities, so doors banging shut. Also a very strong smell of curry, a bit much. Overall the place is nice, and service is good.
Well, I must admit, I never expected much, and I wasn't disappointed. You don't get much here for sure. The check in was efficient and friendly though. However, disregard the filthy looking hallway carpet, that's not where you are staying. Your room will be covered in good laminate flooring and spacious. In winter months the A/C unit will be unplugged and you'll have to figure out the baseboard heater setting as there's no wall mounted thermostat. The beds are basic, but will give you a restful night, however don't count on watching any T.V. as you'll need to be a genius to figure out the "clickers." There's a nice work top with a microwave, which was handy, because the clock radio didn't work, so at least you can set the microwave for the time. There's also a fridge which works quite well. The bathroom is small but modernized, with a midget toilet and midget bath/shower which also worked well after figuring out the mixer tap. Just be careful as the tub has one of these pebbly surfaces which is supposed to non-slip, but of course isn't. Yes, a basic room for a basic overnight stay. The breakfast isn't much, just toast or bagels or cereal. If you're lucky there may be yogurt in the fridge too. If you want an egg, just nip over the road to the Superstore and get a dozen cheap, you can use your ingenuity and the microwave to make a really tasty scrambled egg.
Generally speaking I wouldn't stay at a Knights Inn - I find them not the best.. but this place was very interesting; staff was great; the room was huge; breakfast was included - although the breakfast room is very small.
This was my first time here - very friendly and the room exceeded my expectations. Had a very spacious room, great view of the river, mountains. The breakfast room was clean. I decided to stay one more night and explore Kamloops.
Stayed here for one night on way to Vancouver. Was very pleased. Rooms are spacious, nice laminate floors that were clean (not like some hotels with dirty and stained carpet), comfortable beds, pet friendly, continental breakfast included. We were only about 3 minute drive from downtown where there were restaurants to choose from, or also on the route on/off the #5 highway where there were many fast food stops. Also good value for money. Would stay again.
We stayed there with kids in August for swimming competition. For less than 200 bucks we had a clean place to stay for two days, with breakfast. I think it's a pretty good deal. Rooms are very basic, but they are clean and air-conditioned. Bathrooms are updated and clean as well. Despite facing a busy road the hotel rooms are quiet. Breakfast is continental, nothing fancy - yoghurts, pastries, bagels, cream cheese, jam, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, tea. Enough to start a day. If I ever need a cheap place to stay for a night or two in Kamloops I'll chose this place again.
My family stayed at the Knights Inn in Kamloops from August 17-20. We were in Kamloops for a tournament. The hotel is very conveniently located near Starbucks , Superstore, and a bunch of other eateries and grocery stores. It's also a 4 minute drive/ 20 minute walk to the Canada Games Pool and the Thompson River University. The check-in was fast and efficient although there was a slight confusion to our room but were given a newer and nicer room further away from the main road of Columbia Street. The room is a very generous size with 2 queen beds; ample enough for my husband, 2 large teenage boys and myself. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave and a shower/tub combo. There is a coffee maker and a hairdryer and iron and ironing board as well. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. The hotel provides a modest continental breakfast which opens from 7-10 am. Pros: large, clean room. Comfortable and good sized queen beds. Updated bathroom. Cons: the breakfast doesn't open until 7 am and we had to be at the tournament many days by 6:45 am so we were unable to have our breakfast at the hotel. Our coffee was not replenished after our first day. We had to always ask for two extra bath towels as they only provided us with two and there were 4 of us. Overall, Knights Inn is a good budget hotel. It doesn't have the bells and whistles and lacks a bit in the service department but it is clean and comfortable.
I never know what to expect at a knights inn, but this one exceeded my expectations. Clean, modern rooms. The rooms were huge as well, although sparse on furniture. Friendly staff. Breakfast. Great price. Worth the stay.
If you're looking for an average and budget friendly hotel I would suggest this hotel. We stayed overnight en route to Vancouver. There are cons at this hotel (no elevator, breakfast is okay, Confusing entrance to the hotel) other than that the staff are very friendly and there are nearby amenities (Dominos, Starbucks, etc.). Overall experience is pretty amazing.
