The sheets on the beds were too small so they didn't tuck around the mattresses and one of the fitted sheets hard a ridge around the edge which was extremely uncomfortable. There was no one available to change the sheet so we were given the sheet to change ourselves. And the indoor pool was so slimy you slipped when you got in. Also, the hot tub was not hot. Very poor compared to our previous stay there.
All in all it is an average hotel for a good price with a great breakfast and would have rated it better had the staff not been so dismissive and had some sort of policy for left behind items. Will not be returning nor would I recommend this hotel based on my experience. I forgot a phone charger and an expensive sweater dress here. Called a few times and spoke with different people who couldn’t seem to figure out where they would be. One lady even took my name and phone number saying she would track my things down but I never heard back at all. Finally the last person I spoke with said my things were thrown in the garbage! What hotel throws people’s belongings in the garbage?!! I called within the week after we stayed there, this never should have happened. Staff that I dealt with for my issue were not friendly or helpful at all. The rooms were decent for the price you pay. Complimentary breakfast was great! Pancakes, waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, muffins, etc. Location is decent. Right on the highway beside a few other hotels so very easy to find . Was a bit loud because it was on the highway, heard a few sirens going but it wasn’t that loud that we couldn’t sleep. No cribs here so just packed our play pen in and there was more than enough room to set up it up in the room.
A over night stay wasa well kept roon a nice location with a breakfast enough to start the day.what we needed was at the mall across the road.
Due to a foul up, the room we were booked into, and sent to from the front desk, had not been cleaned. Mistakes happen! For me a definition of professionalism is how well do you handle your screw ups. The front desk staff did a good job of getting us into a comparable room, quickly and cleanly. Good Job!
Central location to shopping and restaurants. Although hotel is a little dated, it was clean. Good value for money spent.
Very poor experience with this hotel. Definitely not a hotel I will ever return to, or recommend. They changed room rates on us, and it was a hassle to get them changed back. The breakfast was very basic and did not change items once in 6 days there. The hotel itself is old and not in very good shape. We had 5 rooms, all were not cleaned well upon checkin, and worst of all, one room had bed bugs, and real bad infestation too. Another room, previously had bed bugs, and was not cleaned properly as there was bed bug carcasses all underneath the bed. The staff/managers were not very apologetic and did not make things right.
We were stopping here one night on our trip home. Found the entrance a bit off putting. It's very dark. But once inside it brightened up. Our room was clean & comfortable. Good breakfast included. In the morning the lady at the desk was very helpful explaining the Wyndham rewards to me. There had been some confusion when we checked in. But she was most helpful.
Housekeeping staff is awesome very friendly, did s great job cleaning the room. Front desk staff for the most part was friendly and tried to help. The breakfast was the same greasy sausage flats and pancakes with hard boiled eggs everyday we were there for the 5 days it was gross! Internet had to constantly reconnect to it.
Location was handy, staff were top notch. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great. Would stay there again anytime.
Tried to charge us $119/night instead of the booked room rate of $103/night. Ended up with bed bugs in our room, so had to spend a night in our truck. We threw out our own pillows/blankets, spent $42 on washing our clothes to make sure we didn't take the bed bugs with us. Bought new pillows/blankets so our kids would have them for the drive back to Edmonton after the long weekend. The new room they finally moved us to the next day; we found an empty water bottle behind the night stand, bobby pins under the mattress cover and a picture of some woman behind the bed. Where is the cleaning of these rooms!! They refunded the night we spent in our truck and offered us a free night the next time we stayed here. We spent over $200 on plastic tubs to put our clothes in, bed bug raid to spray our truck and suitcases down, new blankets/pillows, etc. I will not be staying here again after this. The bed skirt was really dirty that it doesn't look like they had changed it in quite some time and if they did that after every stay or even once a week, they would have found the bed bugs. I gave it 2-stars because the staff were friendly, pool was good and the breakfast was ok (could have had more choices though)
