Clean, safe, and centrally located. Two thumbs up.

The hotel lobby is stunningly beautiful, but downtown Jackson is not a nice place.

My 2 year old son and I were driving from Fort Worth to North Carolina and stopped over in Jackson for the night. Everything at the hotel was excellent. The staff was welcoming, our room was ready (even though we booked it just two hours before) and overall it was a great experience.

This is a beautifully restored old property in downtown Jackson, Mississippi. I remember when it was a wreck and a ruin, but now it is beautiful. The staff was great, and the shrimp and grits in the restaurant was very good. You can walk to the Iron Horse Grill, but be mindful of the locale and your surroundings.

The hotel is in a historic building and the lobby area is very nice looking. The gentleman that checked us in told us there were no rooms ready until4pm because they had sold out the night before. He hadn't even looked. I asked him to check and Surprise they had only 1 room. My buddy was out of luck. But then Surprise the lady next to him said there are more rooms available and we got the other room. You need to valet park 16 per night or try to leave it on the street somewhere. Not recommended One night a pan handler approached me and a friend while getting out of car. The attendant tried to chase the panhandler off but the guy got violent and shoved the attendant almost to the point of falling He walked away while shouting warnings My room had a view of a burned out vacant building and railroad yard. Most of the buildings on that block are vacant Lobby bar had very sticky floor. Very sticky. Was still that way the next night but not as bad. I think that's because enough people had walked on it to transfer the goop to the bottoms of their shoes. Sunday the nice lobby was littered with beer bottles cans and drink glasses Monday the staff was very cheerful, helpful and friendly except for the same guy behind the front desk Room was quiet clean and comfortable.

Nice, clean hotel, friendly staff. No complaints, I would stay here again.

the room were clean and the people make this hotel

Great hotel. Love the location to downtown attractions. Great room, great service! Will definitely stay here again when I go back to Jackson.

The hotel renovation was beautiful. I grew up in Jackson and had never been inside when it was the King Edwards. It felt like a bit of a historical visit. Sleeping in the King Edwards hotel where only whites were allowed.

The hotel location is in a very deserted downtown Jackson, but there's other businesses coming slowly. The shuttle is Perfect and will take you anywhere within a 7 mile radius. The shuttle driver Wendall is very courteous and knowledgeable about the area and a very sweet person. Hotel is lovely they offer breakfast buffet for 14.95 and 11.95 for kids, but I found that to be a tid bit expensive for my 6 yr old who only ate 1 pancake, that's basically my only downfall with the King Edward Grill too pricey. But overall this was my 2nd stay here, and I will definitely stay here again.

It was really good. I was really pleased with the staff and the valet parking. The room was clean and the location is very good

Downtown doesn't really look safe but the interior is really nice. All the workers are really friendly too

This is an historical hotel in Jackson - the lobby was gorgeous. Staff was very accommodating and delightful. Rooms very nice - very comfortable.

I like the hotel. The only problem is the parking. you have to pay 16$.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had great food and service. I wish I could enter the hotel from the parking garage for bad weather but they do offer valet which is free and nice also. Overall great experience.

Lots of construction around the hotel, but other than that, the hotel was very nice overall . The restaurant was closed the night of my visit, but I was able to order a meal at the bar, and it was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The carpet in the room had a few wear stains, but the room appeared to be very clean. I enjoyed my stay.

From the moment we walked in until the time we checked out everyone was super friendly and helpful. The hotel resturants had wonderful staff, fast and friendly. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The lobby was beautiful, and our clerk was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well arranged.

We were interested in walking after dinner...early evening and were told it was"probably not a good idea!!" The environment was not safe. We would not stay there again until the area was totally rejuvenated. It appears that Jackson is working on it but VERY slowly.

Parking was atrocius due to construction. Check in staff was neither courteous or helpful. The room was very well lit making sleep difficult. Breakfast was ho hum. Check out staff never asked " how was your stay?" Felt like I was just another source of cash for them. Litte evidence of hospitality or charm. No Value for the rate charged.
