BEWARE that this property is not truthfully represented on websites. Confused at the high rating as this property is old, not in good condition and located in an unsafe area of Jackson. The canopy in the front is torn and barely hanging into the frame. The lobby is acceptable, but the hallways and rooms are old and in need of repairs and updating. Staff is unfriendly, unprofessional, front desk attendant had pajamas in the evening and was talking loudly to a friend on her cell phone speaker. The courtyard is in bad shape, and needs overall improvement. The website says meals provided, rooftop bar, courtyard available. None were open but not posted on their website. Strange, disappointing experience.

1st time to stay here-very pleased with the experience

The staff is mare accommodating and friendly but seems unorganized. I called to make sure I could check in early and requested a fridge, I was told to hold while Jeremy went to check the room and he confirmed. Upon checking in, Jeremy seemed confused and once again ran to check the room again. I was not given any instructions to hang a guest parking in my car, returning from dinner, I saw 3 parking spaces marked with either reserved or guest parking signs. Since all other parking spots were taken, I called the front desk to ask what I should do. I ended up removing one of the signs to park. I went to the front desk and inquired how the staff identifies hotel cars and was then told I needed to hang a guest parking sign on my car. My room needed upgrades especially a good cleaning. Vents were covered in dust, windowsills had lots of debris like concrete chunks. Bathroom ceiling were peeling. No soap dish for bar of soap. I had to ask for shampoo and a do not disturb sign. The worst was the loud music that thumped until 11 o’clock and the the uncomfortable mattress. It was the worst night of sleep. I woke up tired from sleeping later than I wanted from the loud music and bed. I spoke to the staff in the morning about my experience, although they were apologetic and offered a comp for my next visit, proper hospitality is to correct the present situation. The staff should have done more than waive the $5 fridge rental fee for the present stay. It was a horrible hotel experience.

This is an excellent little boutique hotel. Every detail is looked to all the time. The only failure is the internet connection is abysmal.

This hotel was everything I was hoping for when I booked it. It has all the character one could want in a beautiful old building. It has a roof top deck and a lovely garden pond filled with koi. Just lovely.

I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us when you were in Jackson. Unfortunately, we lost our awning fabric in a recent storm and have re-purchased a replacement but they are custom made and take about three months to be constructed. We are also renovating our Courtyard and expanding our outside covered patio for outdoor dining and as stated on our website. Our lunch service was discontinued until it is complete. We hope to have everything complete and the lunch service back open in early August. I regret that your stay was unpleasant. We always strive to give the best in service and have a dedicated staff that have been with us for years. Please accept our apologies we hope you will give us a chance to serve you in the future.
