We were in Huntington on our way to Canada. I booked directly through the hotel; the person I spoke with was quite helpful as was the person who checked us in. Room 126 is an accessible room with a roll-in shower. The only bad thing was that the shower floor was a little slippery and there were no grab bars in the shower. Other than that, the room was fine—clean, roomy, and grab bars by the toilet. Breakfast was good: several choices of breads, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, and so on. We would stay here again.
We have stayed here a number of times as a midpoint on long drives. Always a great staff...a clean room and very good amenities. Highly recommended for single travelers or families. Breakfast is always on time and the fitness room is clean and fully functional.
Stayed here for one night, arriving at 11 pm. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, while hotel overall felt very clean and well maintained. There is plenty of free, well lit parking, while our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good with plenty of options, including the hotel's willingness to make waffles on request. The breakfast area had adequate seating, and was kept well stocked and clean. Our only regret was not having more time to enjoy this property. We would definitely stay here again.
This is The first time we stayed at a town Place hotel by Marriott. We had a very nice suite With the kitchen. We were able to walk to a local restaurant which was very nice. And you can park right near your room even though their interior car is. Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast buffet
Our room was good. Staff facilitated reservation with Marriott Rewards. Clean and tidy place with a good breakfast. Didn't hear any of the high school wrestlers who were staying there. Good access. Attractive fairly new facility. It was a bright spot on a dreary WV rainy day.
I made a reservation on the Marriott website using my company corporate discount code. When I arrived they said they wouldn't honor the rate and I'd have to pay a much higher rate. The front desk clerk and manger acknowledged that I was never notified in any way that the reservation would not be honored and that the reservation was still valid (per Marriott) when I arrived. If I would not have shown up, I would have been charged (2 day cancelation policy at Marriott / less elsewhere). Yet, they can change the rate or cancel the reservation without notification? If your not going to honor advertised rates, remove them from the Marriott website. Greed is greed and fraud is fraud. You're guilty of both.
We booked this hotel through our AAA agent and she certainly lead us to the right place. Price was good. Location was good. Staff was extremely customer oriented. Warm welcome each time we walked in. I don't remember the name of the young woman who checked us in, but my husband asked if she could recommend a good place for a good steak dinner that was reasonably priced. She not only recommended a great place, but she also told us what we would probably pay (which was correct) and she also printed out the directions. Everyone we saw made a point of pleasantly acknowledging us. Room was clean and nice. Room set up was very nice with a kitchenette. Continental breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent.
There is nothing really wrong with this hotel, other than it being about the only show in town. The room was fine, the breakfast was okay. We were desperate, so we had to pay $202 for a room with a king bed and a foldout sofa. Grrr.
a bit hard to get to.....but new and really really nice. Great room, great breakfast, great gym, great internet. only complaint - they have a nice patio - but they let people smoke on it - and it comes into the pool area and thus hallway. Very good find - about a mile from the freeway, near an Amazon Warehouse.
This was my second stay at this hotel. Again, the staff members were wonderful. I was greeted by Donetta and Ashley at the front desk. They were extremely friendly, and offered me information on restaurants and things to do in the area. They also provided me with extra pillows and towels for my room. The room was very clean and well kept., and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great! I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked really nice! Overall, I had a great experience! Will definitely be staying at TownePlace in Huntington again!
