This was my second stay at this hotel. Again, the staff members were wonderful. I was greeted by Donetta and Ashley at the front desk. They were extremely friendly, and offered me information on restaurants and things to do in the area. They also provided me with extra pillows and towels for my room. The room was very clean and well kept., and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great! I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked really nice! Overall, I had a great experience! Will definitely be staying at TownePlace in Huntington again!
I choose this hotel due to the fact it has a kitchenette. It's a small hotel with a small breakfast and dining area. But I can not say enough about the staff. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I had problems connecting to the WiFi. I spoke to Joann at the front desk and she took the time to make sure I was able connect. Very friendly. I recommend this place for it's location and friendly, helpful staff.
Located off I-64 at exit 11, the Marriott TownePlace Suites is easy to find and very comfortable. The rooms are large and nicely furnished with a small kitchen, a large bath and a very comfortable bed. There is WIFI, cable TV and facilities to print your airline connections or Google Maps. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is a generous breakfast buffet in the morning, freshly baked cookies in the afternoon and good coffee all day.
We couldn't say enough to the customer service of the staff of this hotel! We have traveled a lot with our kids and their teams and other hotels are very difficult to deal with! The TownePlace made us feel welcomed and made the kids feel special by baking cookies, bringing extra towels to pool, and leaving extra towels in the room. The front desk staffed greeted everyone with a smile and wished each player good luck. The rooms were a little small when the couch was opened, but the kitchen area was great with a full size refrigerator. The breakfast was ok for hotel breakfast. The outside pool was nice since the weather was hot! Location was conveniently located off the interstate and close to Pullman Square, where we found nice cute restaurants.
The heater didn't work at all the first night (but it was spring and not really cold) and someone came to fix it the next morning. But the temperature range was too wide---it would stay off until the room was quite cold and finally come on and make the room almost too hot. The internet was a slow 1.5 to 2 Mbps, OK for email but not much else. It was stable---did not lose the connection. The breakfast was cold cereal, hot oatmeal, bagels, toast, juice, and frozen fried eggs and patty sausage that had been heated up. The coffee had been poured into insulated thermoses---no espresso machine. Breakfast was OK for a mid-range hotel, I guess. One employee at reception tried to learn guests' names, and called me by name each time I saw her. I have never had that experience at any hotel. They allow pets for a $100 nonrefundable fee, and that is why we stayed here, with our toy poodle. The room doors are on tight springs that slam the door; we were awakened late at night and early in the morning by other guests coming and going.
I was very impressed by the staff at this hotel. I was driving for over 6 hours in the snow and rain, and I checked in very late. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions about the area. Front desk staff Joanna was very friendly in the morning and provided me with directions. The hotel is also beautiful! My favorite parts were the air conditioner and shower fan. They were so quiet!
Well equipped rooms with a large wheeled table which pulled out from under desk and worked well for a 4 person business meeting. Lots of storage space. Friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Joanna who made a fresh batch of cookies and prepared a plate of them for us on New Years Eve. My wife forgot her Fitbit - we were called a few hours after checkout and they arranged to mail it to us.
We stayed here both on our way to Baltimore and also on our way back for Christmas. It was great for me to have a kitchenette because of gluten and dairy intolerance. It is hard for me to find safe places to eat on the road. Both rooms are a decent size with a lot of storage space. You could easily do an extended stay here. Staff was super friendly and helpful Complimentary breakfast Large closet King Size bed was comfortable Kitchenette has a small stovetop, full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Ample amount of silverware, plates, bowls, glasses and mugs for 4-6 people. Also has 2 pots, one frying pan, colander, measuring cup and spoons, and serving spoons. You can't make a gourmet meal here but a simple meal is doable. Plan ahead. Room and bathroom were clean Bathroom is a decent size with good shower A word of caution: The floor to the kitchen in our room coming back was extremely slick. I almost fell. Wear shoes or go barefoot for traction. Do NOT wear socks. Our first room was not like this. We told the girl at the desk to tell the staff not to wax the floors. This could be bad if you are carrying hot food or glass. All in all this was a pleasant stay.
I can't say much bad about this hotel. The room was clean and well furnished. There is nothing luxurious about the facilities, but that's what you expect from an extended-stay type property like this one.
Very nice room with full amenities. Room had a dorm/apartment style fridge with separate door for freezer. Also had stove, dishwasher, and basic pots/pans/silverware/plates/glasses/etc. Felt more like a mini apartment than a hotel room. Layout of room was a bit strange with the tv to the side of the room rather than in direct view from bed, but maybe this was due to the well furnished office desk and storage areas. Overall very impressed with room itself. Hotel staff was very pleasant and remembered details from checkin and stay felt very personalized. We arrived early and had no problems with checkin. My complaints would be minor. The pool is outside and no hot tub. The breakfast is free, but very scarce. Waffles, breads, cereal, and hard boiled eggs. We ended up eating next door at Bob Evans
