we were staying in town to visit barboursville so it’s a quick distance from there. the hotel is less than a minute drive from a few food options so that’s convenient. it’s an interesting location not much around but the hotel itself was clean and beautiful it’s the good quality i can expect from a marriott. the only catch is please make sure you are calling them and confirming their policy i called ahead to confirm i would be able to book and stay as a 20 year old turning 21 soon and they said anyone over 18 is eligible and that it’s no problem, but upon arrival was asked if i had a 21 year old with me and told that you had to be 21. rooms were fantastic and clean, staff is friendly and helpful, pool is great and the breakfast was okay. really beautiful view outside in the breakfast area.

Nice, clean hotel and location. Floors were really squeaky though - like walking through grandma's house. Hallways were the same. Made for a pretty noisy stay. Could hear the person above me the whole night. I've stayed in 200 year old hotels that were quieter.

The first room had a used wash cloth and hair in the shower and a thick smell of men’s cologne. I asked to change. The second room was clean but the tv didn’t work and I was woken up at 6 am by the alarm clock, which I didn’t set.
