Great 2 day stay. Just what we needed while shopping in the area. Our room seemed to be recently remodeled and exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Jenny at check in and Ken’s help with a television problem. Both were professional and personal. The hotel was easy to access, there was plenty of parking, and we felt safe.
the room was very clean, the staff was excellent, nice pool area, close to mall for shopping, a lot of restaurant's to choose from great breakfast. would stay again!!!
Before making the reservation I called to find out what the hot tub and pool hours were. Excited that they were open til midnight for adults and kids til 11 pm - I immediately booked. Upon arrival instantly disappointed....The pool was open until midnight but the hot tub...closed permanently. So why didn't they tell me that when I called and asked? they just said they tried to get it off all the websites -- but I called! They didn't care. Then my room... scotch tape on the ceiling, scotch tape on the walls, scotch tape holding the dresser drawer shut because it was tilted forward and still it did not hold it shut. No RV Parking, but it was next to a mall that you could use. Horrible breakfast. The round precooked egg omelettes were in the chafing dish so long that they looked like taco shells. All dehydrated and curled up. The sausage patties were in about 1” of greasy water.
It was a clean and organized place. If I needed anything they got it for me. It was close to the store.
The hotel was close to shopping ,restaurants and Beech Fork State Park
Spent one night at this hotel prior to the Marshall graduation. Room was very clean and free breakfast was an added benefit. Located close to a shopping mall and many dining options.
Very pleased with staff and room.told us good dinner spot and fun little bar down the road.can't think of any cons.Just a Nice place to stop while on the road.Very fair price for what we got. Tywonder
Clean and comfortable. Good value. Staff friendly, but they should not be smoking in a highly visible place ( three employees smoking at the front entrance when we arrived).
Carpet needed a thorough cleaning and I found hair in the tub. Interior showing some age and lack of attention to detail cleaning. Some issue with bedside light and alarm clock not working. Really need maids to check these things because guests do expect them to work. Front desk help that checked me in was not very helpful or interested in the customer while the morning staff was great!

Dear Randy, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Comfort Inn Barboursville. Please accept my apologies for our hot tub being unavailable and that this was not disclosed to you when you made your reservation with Orbitz. I can understand how frustrating that must have been. We are working hard to inform our guests before they arrive and apologize that we came up short. We are hoping to have our hot tub fixed, however, we are currently waiting on estimates before a final decision is made by our management company.
