Hotel is dated. In a not so great area of town. Cheap rates and the staff was really friendly and helpful
The new owners were very courteous and accommodating.
It was cheap
I had called on the way to alert them of a late check-in and was told everything was in place. When I arrived the gentleman at the counter said they did not have my reservation from Orbitz. 20 minutes on the phone with Orbits customer service and also Orbitz with the Hotel at after midnight when I was exhausted resulted in a refund of my prepaid fees and an assurance that Motel 6 would accommodate me for the evening. As soon as I hung up with Orbitz, Motel 6 jacked up the rate. I've never had a reservation not be transmitted to the hotel before. Orbitz said they emailed (when we were on the phone at past midnight when I was trying to check-in) but the gentleman clerk at Motel 6 said he didn't have access to email. He made a "call" and the person on the other end of the phone supposedly hadn't received the confirmation email from Orbitz either. I 100% did not believe what he was telling me at that point. The gentleman smelled like he'd not had a shower in a while. The whole situation felt fishy and we elected to stay elsewhere even though it ended up costing a few dollars more.
I was traveling to be at a surgery for a family member. Just needed a place to get off the road. Ongoing construction but no signs stating so. Snacks for sale in the tiny lobby are in the cardboard boxes they came in. Hotel is right on the road and you can hear EVERY vehicle that passes by. The bathroom was not very clean dust from the aforementioned construction or something. The door to the bathroom was not in good working order (almost in pieces). The power went out, I went to the front desk and the guy just sat there with the door locked as if I could not see him (he was sitting there with 2 candles lit). The next morning he told me the printers were still down due to the power outage. I won’t go into detail about someone yelling for their money during the power outage. Enough said.
wanted a cheap place to stay for the night and found it it was clean and the staff was helpful
