Stayed here for business, great accommodations! The room was very clean, the staff was very responsive, and the location is ideal. Celia was the star of the show! She is very courteous, friendly, and very prompt with her service. She provided excellent customer service with a smile! The Westin is lucky to have her! M.
The service at the hotel was exceptional! Visited the Westin for business and it was a great stay. The amenities were very nice, my room was very clean, and the hotel service was outstanding. On a personal note, Celia stood out as the best staff member. She was very courteous, prompt in her service, and handled multiple patrons needs simultaneously with a smile. The Westin is fortunate to have such a wonderful employee. M.R. D.Chopra
I have stayed many times at this hotel and I can say the location is great and their accommodations are comfortable. Celia at the bar at the bar gives outstanding service and is always extremely attentive.
Very impressed with this hotel! We were immediately greeted on our way in. Room was extremely clean! Every staff member has been overly friendly and accommodating to my party. Our stay has not ended and yet I was so compelled to write a review! Celia in the lounge/bar area was so nice and friendly during happy hour :) Drinks were yummy and food was scrumptious! If I ever find myself needing to stay at a hotel in this area it will 100% be at the Westin Memorial City! My only complaint is that the self parking was expensive for a non-downtown area! $12/day gets pricey when you are here for 1 week.
We stay at this Westin when we are in Houston because it is close to family. The rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel is in front of the Memorial City Mall, restaurants and next door to the Memorial Herman Hospital, both connected by walk ways.Good parking. We eat breakfast in the room or elsewhere because we find the dining area cold and impersonal....
This is my 2nd stay at this hotel and there's no doubt that it is a fine hotel - the rooms/suites are spacious, staff is friendly and there are nice little details like plenty of outlets next to the bed. But then there are the little frustrations that they just should've done better - like the abominable lighting in the bathrooms. Was there not one female on the whole architecture/design team? It is impossible to apply makeup in that hotel. The bathrooms themselves are spacious, with vast amounts of wasted space and tiny little vanities stuck in the corner. Again . . . calling ANY female designer? The first suite they gave me this year had a bathroom that was not attached to the bedroom - you had to go through the living room to get to it. So that might be great for someone who is not a 45-year-old female, but for those of us who actually use the bathroom more than once in 12 hrs, it's a pain, especially when paying luxury hotel prices. They were nice about moving me, but getting a bedroom with a bathroom attached meant I ended up in a much smaller suite. Also, it's time to regrout the shower. Ick. The ice machine on my floor was broken for my entire stay and, again, as a female, I'm not a fan of roaming hotels at night searching for ice. I called the front desk to ask for a bucket of ice and after 45 min, someone showed up with . . . a small glass of ice. Ice rationing? In my mind, these are the things that separate the good hotels from the greats. And so, this was a good hotel. It's a good place to stay. I would stay there again, and probably will, since I have family nearby and am allergic to their numerous dogs. But, it's not great. And I'm still putting my makeup on in the car, unfortunately.
Good place to stay a couple of nights - rooms are very large, clean and with a great view Staff is really nice- however I was a bit disappointed by the quality and service of the restaurant. When you need to work after diner, you don't want to wait 45min for the main course (staff offered us a glas of wine to compensate long waiting, which was very nice from them)
I travel frequently, over 100 nts/yr. I stay here frequently as the hotel is in excellent condition, always clean, and most importantly the best staff in the business. As much as I travel its always great to be recognized and appreciated by the entire staff. From the valet, front desk, bartenders and even the GM. All are extremely polite and very professional. I highly recommend staying here. Make sure to check out the cool bar and the amazing rooftop infinity pool!!!
The meals while there were excellent, not a bad one over the 4 days on site. Servers were great, never was there an empty glass of water or tea. Our room was beautiful and spacious. We will certainly stay here again.
Stephanie and Roland did such excellent job waiting on the morning rush that included our Thompkins family reunion group. They were on top of everything. Thank you so much for taking care of our family.
