Terrible bathrooms Deceptive website Front desk staff

This property needs a complete renovation. Currently the lobby is being renovated, but if the rooms are not renovated it’s like putting lip stick on a pig. The property is structurally just getting old. Lifts, rooms, bathrooms are all old and tired. There are much better properties in the same area you should consider before this one.

Bad customer service. I was asked for credit card for incidentals at check in. And Ineas double charge for room. Orbitz charged my card as well as hotel. I called twice hotel and they said their charge was just an ustjorization and will disappear in a couple of day. Yes it did but then it was charged in firm a few days again! I had to call Orbitz to fix it!

When we checked in we were asked if we were there for a special occasion I said it was our anniversary. When we got to our room there was a chilled bottle of wine and strawberries.

The hotel exceeded my expectations and I would stay there the next time I'm in Houston.

just add $30/nt parking to your daily room rate and see if you think it is still a good deal. it isn't. you wait forever for your vehicle.

The facility was undergoing renovations but the staff never warned me there would be a substantial amount of noise upon check in. There was NONSTOP drilling from About 10 am to 2 pm. The wall was shaking and it sounded like a train was above my head. I called the front desk to inquire about the noise and was told there was nothing they could do about it despite the fact she could hear the noise through the phone . I wasn't looking to be compensated but I would have liked for them to have done a better job addressing my concern.

At less than $150 a night I enjoyed a practically private indoor and out door pool, between retreats to my plain but clean room. There were some high end details missing such as marble baths and I found a stain on sheet, but the staff was great. The restaurant food was kinda eh, but the waitresses were quite nice and they have a starbucks in the lobby. I would stay there again.

The staff did not disappoint. They were very professional, knowledgable and friendly. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was secure, clean and modern. Will certainly stay there on my next visit to Houston.

Parking was free which was awesome plus they had cookies!

We were placed on the 4th floor, where the 5th floor houses the hotel's health club and pool and the 3rd floor houses the basketball and racquetball courts. What a insanely stupid design!!! We were kept up the entire nights with what sounded like bowling balls hitting our walls. Then the mattresses was so disgusting. It wasn't very comfortable so we lifted the sheets to examine it and oh boy, what a disgusting mattress. It looked like they picked it off the side of a road, ripped and dingy looking. YUCK! Made my skin crawl. For the price we paid, you would think wi-fi should be included but NOPE. We also stayed at the Driskill in Austin and Sheraton (near the JW) and both were far better, including free wi-fi.

Wonderful staff! Very friendly and professional.Awesome appetizers/food for Marriott Award members.Awesome location.It's in the middle of Houston.Not far from most things.
