3 hour wait for room service , they explained that the are very busy, never received our goody basket that was promised.

Some of the furniture was a bit beat up and outdated.

Shuttle service for 3 mile radius nice. Did not like remote location from downtown, museum district and airport with difficult use of public transportation and no guidance from staff about buses or provision of maps.

There wasn’t much to like. Parking was costly and a rat maze. No free coffee in lobby. No free WiFi. Housekeeping didn’t empty garbage.

Friendly and beautiful vibes all around houston great city

We enjoyed the room, the bar area, and the service, but we didn't appreciate the fact that we had to pay $54.00 for parking.

Reverse discrimination. Hostile staff. Overcharged. Stay away!

My overall stay was great. We loved the fresh baked cookies too.

Clean lobby and rooms, friendly staff all for a reasonable rate for the area.

Due to elevator problem, it took about 15 minutes to get to the lobby or your room.

When the wind blows the room whistles. It’s crazy happens all the time. They could fix it for 2$. Please install gasket material.

I am a Doubletree fan. Have been for a while. But in this one I was VERY disappointed. The rooms looked uncared for, starting with the kitchenettes, which had almost no plates. The sofa bed looked like 1980’s and had all the sofa pillows stained. The aisles looked dirty and also uncared for. When walking the isle it felt like walking a 1980s hotel in 2017. The service was substandard, especially when requesting things that should be in place. For example, the sofa bed: I called to have my sofa bed made and they told me that they could provide sheets, but they could not put the sheets on or prepare the sofa bed. Is it a joke??? The gym was one of the worst gyms I have visited, with only one weight mashing, only trade mills, but no elliptic machine or anything ese, and no floor room for doing exercise. Also, it was quite dirty. And finally, the breakfast, which was at the level of a “La Quinta Suites” breakfast: a pile of scrambled eggs in a pan, with some disgusting, oily bacon next to it (the fruit was good though). Will never ever go back to this Doubletree, and will think about going to another one.

Front desk doesn't understand what a credit card authorization form is. While I'm filling one out and emailing back they are telling my employee that is staying at the hotel that there is no such thing and treating him like he doesn't belong there. Thankfully the sales department intervened and informed them that the form was filled out so my exhausted employee could check into his room. No apology or explanation was given to him by the front desk. Maybe not they best hotel to stay at for business trips, it's way too confusing for the front desk.

We are pleased to read that our complimentary local shuttle was so appreciated! While many guest rave about our Uptown location just steps away from the Galleria Mall, we regret to learn that you had anticipated staying closer to the city center, and we will work with our team to ensure that we have more information regarding public transportation available. We thank you for all of your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again one day. All the best, The DoubleTree Team

Thank you for sharing your feedback. To ensure that our guests know what to expect from us, we list our services and amenities online, including our parking fees and WiFi rates, which are similar or less than other area hotels. We also share that we offer complimentary coffee in-room, as well as sell coffee in our restaurant and Grab & Go located by the front desk. We do apologize that our housekeeper missed emptying your trash, and we wish that we had known of this during your stay so that we could have had a team member take care of this for you. We have addressed your comments with our staff, and we hope to one day have another chance to win you over with all that we have to offer here in Houston. All the best, The DoubleTree Team
