Courtyard by Marriott Houston NASA/Clear Lake

Disappointingly average property, with slightly dated room decor and a small, concrete uninspiring outdoor pool area. Views from rooms at back are poor; patio chair cushions outside are all a bit dirty and furniture is cheap looking; and there is very little shade during the hot day, whilst you sit looking at a concrete wall and electricity pylons. The place is clean and tidy enough inside and the staff are all very polite, helpful and friendly. The coffee offerings in the room are very mean at 2 decaf a day, paper cups all wrapped in copious amounts of wasteful packaging, and there is nothing complimentary in the lobby (no doubt so that the ubiquitous StarBucks can boost its corporate profits). Not a hospitable attitude for a hotel such as The Marriott. The staff are the only positive about this bland concrete hotel.

Stayed here for a week in June, its right across from NASA's Johnson Space Centre. Extremely handy and also has lots of shops and restaurants near by. Personal favorite was the frozen yoghurt place. A short walk away from the lake at Nassau Bay too, which is great. Rooms were very clean and large space. Also, pool area was lovely and peaceful. As we used the function/conference rooms daily they were kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

Can't go wrong with this place, go ahead pay a few extra $$ and stay here, it is very close to NASA (2 lights) great area for dinning and the property is fantastic, just what you expect out of an Marriott property

We travel to this area of Houston multiple times per year. We began staying at this location because it's close to NASA's facilities where our "kids" work and also live nearby. We like the staff, and our favorite is Gladys in The Bistro in the evenings. Gladys is efficient as well as friendly and helpful. We like the rooms' configurations, and the lobby and pool area are good areas to hang out in when not in our room. The saltwater pool is warm...but it's summer in Texas! Lots of places nearby for food and fun, so it's our choice for future visits, too. Recommended.

Stayed here two nights in June on business. Nice location close to space center. Room was clean and I slept great! Service was good. Pricey food in the "lobby restaurant". We did have a glass of wine at the bar...wasn't too bad. Good business hotel.

Located right across Johnson Space Center, this is a nice property. Check-in and check-out was easy (mobile). Stayed here for 2 nights. Everything (bed, bathroom) was ok. Plenty of parking around the property.

This hotel was very nice. Larger, clean, cool rooms and parking that was easy and free. It is located right across the highway from the Johnson Space Center and just a short block from the visitor's center! There is a small but good variety of food places in the strip mall in front of the hotel. (Pizza, salads, breakfast, burgers) The only reason we gave the hotel 4 stars rather than 5 was due to the lack of breakfast and the high prices at the "breakfast/bar" area. I know courtyard doesn't always offer free breakfast, but it would make the stay with the excellent location perfect!

The room, amenities, Bistro, and help were are very nice. Our room had a leak in the shower ceiling. There were no other rooms available to move to and the "engineer" came to try and repair it- blue painters tape over wet Sheetrock, covered with primer- temporary to say the least, but it allowed us to shower. Staff was great, due to our inconvenience, and took care of our breakfast and gave us tickets to Johnson Space Center. They really tried to make it right. The shower was our only problem and not being in the other rooms, I don't know their condition, but the room itself was nice. We were able to walk to the Space Center which was nice and several restaurants in walking distance.

After travelling 13+ hours to get there, what a nice hotel. Really nice amenities and extremely close to the Johnston Space Centre. The in-hotel restaurant is lovely. The whole place is staffed with lovely people. The only thing I would suggest, is make the pool it was like sitting in bath water. But if that's all I've got to complain about, it's a first world issue only! We love Houston/Nassau Bay.....and we will be back.

Great place for families to visit NASA and the surrounding area. I visited with my wife and grandkids over the weekend and enjoyed the hotel immensely. We had a room for the adults and a nearby room for the grandkids. The pool was great for the children while the wife and I relaxed in the shade and enjoyed some adult beverages. Pros: very convenient to NASA and close to the freeway to Galveston. Lots of family restaurants in the area (although we grabbed a quick bite in the hotel in the morning). Affordable, clean, quiet, and comfortable...great place to stay. Cons: Perhaps a better selection of wine. Grandpa can afford something better....
