Courtyard by Marriott Houston NASA/Clear Lake3.0 out of 5.0

We stayed here right before visiting NASA and the location was ideal. You can see NASA from the hotel. The rooms, we clean and large. Hotel staff was courteous, but did not excel like some do. Other than the Starbucks onsite, the hotel was lacking food items that other full service hotels have. For the rate we paid through Price Line, this hotel was a steal, but know that it is not a 5 star hotel, it is a Courtyard Marriot. It will suffice for most travelers. Lives up to the mid range Courtyard Marriot standard.
This hotel was very nice and clean in a very convenient location. The man who checked us into our room was very helpful. My only complaint was when I went down to the bistro to order a drink I ordered a white wine and the bartender asked me at least 3 different times which wine I wanted. They only serve about 7-10 different wines. Even after asking me she not only gave me the wrong wine, but it was a red wine. I blew it off and drank it anyway but when I went to pay the bartender started to ask how my wine was which I replied that it was nice but I preferred white. She then said she had never had wine before and didn't know what it tasted like. This irritated me because someone that clearly does not know the product they are selling just gave me something I didn't want only because they didn't know the difference. Please train bistro staff better on products behind the bistro/bar area.
We stayed in room 228 a basic king room, very clean. Cool view of the patio below. Big clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Starbucks is served here so that's always a plus. Only problem there was a bartender working that didn't know how to bartend. I ordered a white wine and got red and then she told me she's never had wine before. Maybe some more training because the alcohol selection isn't big at all. Still wonderful stay and nice staff.
This hotel is across the street from the NASA space center and an easy walk. The hotel is in top shape, clean and has comfortable rooms. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a drink and sandwiches at the lobby bar/restaurant with reasonably priced selections, tasty food and good service. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we'd stay here again!
We had a great time at the Courtyard. Close to Kemah and great seafood Breakfast at Bon Appétit in walking distance. Great staff! Will definitely stay there for next cruise. Pappa's Seafood is within 10 minutes.
My wife and I were in town for a Johnson Space Center (JSC) reunion and the hotel offered a special rate for people attending so that is how we ended up here. This place is literally across the street from JSC and Space Center Houston so it was very convenient. There is plenty of parking all around the hotel and the outside door we used to get to our room had to be opened with your room key even during the day for security - no problem with that. We had a room on the 1st floor, on the back side of the hotel, and it was quiet for us. Our room had 2 queen beds (all the rooms with just a king were taken), a stuffed chair and a regular chair and a computer table with a chair. There was a large flat screen TV, a small fridge, a coffee pot, hair dryer, etc. The room was nice and clean and the shower worked fine. We did not have a microwave but maybe other rooms do - it would be a nice add. We did not use any of the other amenities in the hotel like the pool, gym, bistro, etc but the room was fine. There are several restaurants you can walk to in just a couple minutes (Neapolitan Pizza, Five Guys, etc.) and a ton of others you can drive to in 10-15 minutes. We would certainly use this place if we were in the area again.
Spent one night in this hotel on way to Galveston. Friendly staff at front desk greeted us. The room was nice sized, and very clean. We had drinks at the Bistro with good service. Checkout was easy, and getting bags to car very convenient. Will revisit if in that part of Houston.
In the spring, we travelled to Houston for our school's Space Center Houston trip. We had 20 rooms booked, and from the very beginning, the management and staff at Courtyard were extremely professional, prompt, and very accommodating for our group of middle school students and chaperones. I could not have asked for a better experience!
I was there for one night with my family. The rooms were large, neatly appointed and in excellent condition. This property appeared to be new. We had friendly service from the front desk on both arrival and departure. The lobby area was neat and clean with an open format. Beverage and food items were available for purchase inside the lobby.
The hotel and rooms are modern and clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. Service and food in the bistro was surprisingly good. The gym is well equipped and clean including treadmills, ellipticals, free weights and weighted balls, water and ear buds. It is an easy walk to other restaurants and the Space Center. The room price was reasonable as were the prices in the bistro. This hotel is an excellent choice in the Nassau Bay area.
