Exceptionally clean Hotel with well ergonomically designed rooms that support working and relaxing for those of us trying to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously. Staff was friendly, professional and very supportive of special requests.
I have been coming to this hotel for the past four years for business at least twice a month. The staff is amazing especially Gladys in the Bistro. She knows my drink order the minute she sees me (tall glass of ice water) and is always courteous and friendly. When I cannot be home this is definitely the best alternative.
- stayed 1 night for visit to the space center - is located right across the johnson space center, so very convenient - staff was extremely nice and friendly - we booked the room + tickets package, which worked out much cheaper and convenient
We have stayed in this hotel maybe five times over the years. It is our night before the cruise hotel. It has always been a great place to stay. The people are so friendly and it is spotlessly clean. However, the mattresses and pillows are in need of an updating sooner than later. We love the Bistro downstairs. The grilled cheese and tomato soup are my favorite. Husband likes the Bistro Burger. Breakfast sandwiches are all good. This hotel is right across the street from the NASA Space Center. If you want to do the tour, this is a perfect location for it and for Kemah.
I am a road warrior. Two hundred+ room nights last year, alone. Whenever I come to the Houston-Clear Lake City area, I stay at this Courtyard. And not without reason. Among all the hotels I’ve stayed at, from Florida, to NYC, Seattle and LA, this property, by far, has the friendliest, most attentive staff I’ve come across. The front desk folks get you in and out fast, help with local knowledge, and solve the occasional reservation twist or rebooking. The Bistro crew is the best. They never miss a beat preparing a late night snack or breakfast. And the housekeeping staff? My room is always neat and clean whenever I get back from a day with my clients. Don’t hesitate booking his spot. I strongly recommend it.
Courtyard by Marriott is becoming one of my main places to stay when traveling. Always clean and friendly. This one is going through a renovation, but had a newly renovated room. Highly recommend for convenience and quality when in the area.
Pros - Great location - only 10 minutes walk to the Houston Space Center. - Clean and modern looking hotel. - Nice large rooms with large, clean modern bathrooms. - The cafeteria had good breakfast choices. Excellent front desk staff - very courteous and professional. Cons - Laundry machines don't dry too well. Have to put your cloths a few times. Reported to front desk. - Beds were not comfortable. We stay at lots of hotels and we really did not like the beds at this location. Overall would recommends this hotel for guests who are looking to go to Nasa Space Center for a day visit.
Nice place, clean and large room. Good workout gym inside. Perfect location to visit NASA. But breakfast and dinner absolutely no good. Definitely it is a 3 star hotel, not sure more. Good staff and reception
Disappointingly average property, with slightly dated room decor and a small, concrete uninspiring outdoor pool area. Views from rooms at back are poor; patio chair cushions outside are all a bit dirty and furniture is cheap looking; and there is very little shade during the hot day, whilst you sit looking at a concrete wall and electricity pylons. The place is clean and tidy enough inside and the staff are all very polite, helpful and friendly. The coffee offerings in the room are very mean at 2 decaf a day, paper cups all wrapped in copious amounts of wasteful packaging, and there is nothing complimentary in the lobby (no doubt so that the ubiquitous StarBucks can boost its corporate profits). Not a hospitable attitude for a hotel such as The Marriott. The staff are the only positive about this bland concrete hotel.
Stayed here for a week in June, its right across from NASA's Johnson Space Centre. Extremely handy and also has lots of shops and restaurants near by. Personal favorite was the frozen yoghurt place. A short walk away from the lake at Nassau Bay too, which is great. Rooms were very clean and large space. Also, pool area was lovely and peaceful. As we used the function/conference rooms daily they were kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
