Something bit me and got me itchy so I stayed last two nights somewhere else. Also I killed two roaches. There was also a smell in the room which I could not figure out the source.
The hotel is located in a perfect location! There are plenty of restaurants surrounding it, shopping centers, and it's not too far of a drive from downtown Houston or Galveston. The rooms are clean and hotel is quiet. There's a dessert place next door you'll have to check out!
Old. Dirty. And dangerous. There were wires hanging from the ceiling fixture over the bath tub. Left over food that smelled in the fridge. And dead bugs on top of every surface.
The manager was great, very helpful getting me started with my stay. However, when I got to the room, I realized that it had been stripped of all pots, pans, dishes and utensils. I had planned to cook there that night so I was confused. I questioned the manager and she said that they would deliver what ever I needed to me, but that rooms didn't automatically come supplied with it any longer. Then I changed my mind and said we will eat out, so I no longer needed the supplies. When I got back from dinner and decided to get cleaned up and hut down for the night, I looked at the bathroom and sink and saw no glasses, only hand soap, no shampoo and conditioner, etc... they did have a hair dryer on the wall. The next morning I noticed that there was no coffee maker or any supplies. Maybe I am not tuned in to the Extended Stay rhythm. I paid more than I normally do for a room and I guess for that price, I am used to getting a minimum amount of things in a hotel room. Call me spoiled I guess. I was disappointed. I am looking for these types of hotel facilities as potential hurricane evacuation points. Guess I need to do more research!
Room was clean, comfortable and reasonbly priced. Staff were very helpful.
Awesome. This hotel was quite hospitable in every area. Super clean and employees were all so cordial and helpful. This was our 2nd visit here and we will definitely return for a 3rd on when in need of a hotel in this area.
I visited my son who lived less than a mile from the hotel. Every thing was fine in the room. The kitchen setup was great. Eating in the room saved me money that was used on the grandkids. The swimming pool was wonderful, good to cool off on a hot day.
Based on the photos, details and area of town, I thought this would be a great place to spend one quick night. After checking in and walking into the main hallways (outside of lobby), I could immediately tell how bad the room would be, based on everything being dirty. The carpet was stained, needed to be stretched and smelled like mold. The elevators had built up dirt/dust on the railings and around the edges. It could not have been just a one time occurrence, since it apparently had been that way for awhile. As I feared, the room was horrible. It smelled like mold and dust and the carpet looked like it had many previous pet stains. The office chairs on the kitchen table has sticky stains on them and the beds were lumpy, old and made poorly. I would NOT recommend at any price.
It was HOT!! 83 degrees in the room. The only thing they could offer us was ONE fan. The key didn't work most of the time. It was very noise. We could hear everything in the hall way and above us.
