The room had stains on the carpet which wasn't a big deal, but in the bed there was stains on the sheets and other people's hair on the bed. When I pulled off the top comforter there was a wrapper for some medicine, the kind you just tear the corner off and pull back. So clearly the bed and sheets and that weren't clean and it was disgusting. Shower curtain had a little bit of mold on the bottom of it where it touches the tub, once again that's gross. Lastly, I spent most of the night killing gnats that kept flying around the room, which was not only annoying but disgusting as well. ONLY reason why I gave it a 2 star was because the staff upon check in were very welcoming and friendly, that's all the place has going for it. I lucked out and only was there for 1 night, but I will NEVER recommend ABV to anyone and will NEVER stay in another one regardless the city I'm traveling to. If you stay here good luck.

The room was clean, but shabby. The easy chair & carpet had some stains. Had problems with the overheads lights not always coming on. The bathtub was clean, but had mildew around the calking. The water was nice and hot. The breakfast consisted of a tiny pot of coffee and wrapped danish, but there are restaurants in the area, so I enjoyed some great Mexican breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Gulf Freeway was noisy so I requested a room in the back and it was very quiet.

I was surprised how clean the room and the exterior was. I didn't expect much from a budget hotel but it seems like this one has been kept well. Flat screen TV, Very strong Internet, Very well lit Parking and very close to the airport are the plus points. Not too far from the beach either.

This room was not booked by my self, but rather my spouse for a surprise four day/three night birthday weekend. Upon arrival I was disappointed with parking and then the room itself smelled moldy. The bathroom door would not close (it had been shaved in an attempt to rectify this), the bathtub was dirty, and the carpet always felt damp. While the rest of the trip was great, all the stay here did was wreak havoc on my sinuses and drain my wallet. We will never try to skimp on a room again!

I stayed two nights for work. I found the staff very friendly and professional, the room was clean. It did have a slight wet smell, though. The bathroom lights didn't like to respond but I never got a "killer behind me" vibe. The internet was strong and the cable worked just fine. While certainly not for romance, for clean, inexpensive and safe, you really can't be beat.

Hotel has been recently renovated which was mostly cosmetic (carpet, TV, bedding). Value hotel so if you are looking for high end, then stay elsewhere. The bathroom was a bit on the dirty side, but I think that this was due to the age of the property not the cleanliness.

Stayed here three weeks while family member was receiving treatment at M. D. Anderson. Room was clean, freshly painted and above average for a budget motel. Good value for the price. Exterior and grounds well kept.

I got a pretty decent rate on this hotel last minute on Hotwire. I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was basic, but the bed was very comfortable with four nice fluffy pillows. The main attraction for this hotel is the proximity to Houston Hobby Airport. When I woke up, it was less than a five-minute drive. I asked for a quiet room and got one. The front desk manager was very nice and friendly. It's nice of the credo by a smile at the end of a long, hard day, when you least expect it. I would definitely stay here again. Oh yes, and most important, there was extremely fast and reliable Wi-Fi.

Don't get me wrong, the room was very clean and, despite the fact that my room faced a VERY busy I45/Gulf Freeway, it was extremely quiet. The parking area was also very well lit. However, it was pretty obvious that the room has not been renovated within the last 5-10 years as there were stains on the carpet and the chair by the window looked like it lost the battle & war with some very rough customers. Also, the TV was brand new back in, oh, I'd guess 1990. But 1) the room was well under $100, 2) I was there less than 12 hours, 3) as I said, it was clean & 4) I literally was less than 5 minutes from the rental car return for Hobby. Check-in was a breeze & the desk clerk was very friendly. He gave me a ground floor room, which was great. I was in close proximity to the ice machine & vending machines. My chief complaints are that the room description claimed there were refrigerators, microwaves & coffee makers in the rooms. Well, one out of three is a little ridiculous. I did have a refrigerator. And there was a hair dryer. But I really would have been happier with a microwave or, at the very least, a coffee maker. No coffee after going to bed, albeit a very comfortable bed, at 11 pm & getting up at 3:30 am to get ready for my flight, does not a bright morning make. Speaking of lack of sleep, the bath tub faucet was an exercise in confusion for me. It took a few minutes to figure out what information was left off the instruction sheet on the wall of the shower: Mainly that to increase water flow/pressure you have to pull/push up on the handle. Unless you're just a finicky patron of hotels, this location is perfectly fine for a quick overnight stay in case you need to catch an early flight out of Hobby. Not too family friendly, but that's kind of out of my depth. However, to me, the surrounding neighborhood seemed a little rough & there's not much of a selection of places to grab a bite to eat although 3rd party room service is available. In closing, aside from the missing amenities, for my needs I was pretty happy overall with this hotel. The room was quiet & the bed comfortable. If I was going to be staying more than one night I might look elsewhere. Just depends on the circumstances of my stay. Great place for a similar stay.

The hotel is just off the access road next to the highway. Make sure you get a room around back. With the A/C on it's actually not loud and didn't bother me. I'm not sure if that would be the case in the front. Wifi was good. We didn't stay for breakfast but they only have 1 table with 4 chairs so don't expect much! Overall it's an OK stay for a night if you are flying out early from Hobby Airport.
