Aloft Houston Downtown was convenient for my work trip last week. Very walkable, located right downtown, near the arts district with many restaurants around.

This place is not worth the rate. The breakfast bar had cereal with no milk, the bar is closed, the rooftop had furniture that was worn down, the elevator doors were not clean, and the first room they gave me had a window with a brick wall in front of it. Will definitely not stay there again.
I didn’t like that you had to pay for parking or should be free with the hotel.
Great staff. Thought I booked a different location that was close to things to do. Didn’t realize there was more than one Aloft in the area. But this was cool and relaxing.

Liked that you could walk or take the shuttle to Minutemaid Park. Didn’t like that there isn’t a room with a bathtub.
Location in downtown is great, close to restaurants, although due to the dates we booked not many were open, but that shouldn’t be an issue for most. Floor plans are unique and really feel like a furnished apartment: comfy and familiar.
The room was ok but the facilities were terrible - reception area was dirty and all kinds of people coming in and out (not guests) homeless outside and by the entrance doors - too pricy to have this kind of environment
