Excellent location & view of marina. Microwave didn’t work consistently. Outlets, especially for charging phones were inconveniently located (not close to bed). Had to move the television set top box from behind TV to get it to work. Nice overall but attention to detail for daily use while in the room was lacking.

The room smelled like mildew and wet carpet- including the couch and the bedding. The bathroom was dirty and there was rust and hard water stains everywhere and the door wouldn’t open/ close properly. On our check out day, 2 women unlocked and walked into our room WITHOUT knocking TWICE and said “Sorry we were just checking if anyone was still here.” If you want to check, it is common courtesy to knock. My boyfriend and I were half naked. Not to mention this was at 8am and our check out time wasn’t until 10am. Worst place I have ever stayed and wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

This was a hotel-in-a-hotel experience, so while we were at the Ilikai, certain rooms on the property are run by a different entity, such as the Waikiki Marina Resort. That said, you would never know it as all of the rooms on the property are identical, i.e., studio mini-suites. Our room looked over Waikiki, which was fine. A/C worked great. Property is a little dated but was priced at the correct P/Q ratio. A great, less expensive alternative to the Hilton property to the SW. Would stay here again.

The location was not ideal, the hotel is older so noise from passing cars carries through at night and can get very loud. Parking was also a challenge. We had booked expecting parking to be included, but somehow Expedia placed us in this hotel instead. We also experienced several power outages during our stay.
