For the price we pay, the service at the hotel was not great (I have had much better experiences at other five-star hotels in Honolulu). The check-in was totally chaotic. It took a long time to complete the check-in. The receptionist was walking too fast for our kid to follow. Before checking out, we requested luggage pickup, but no one showed up, so we moved our stuff ourselves. I wouldn't recommend this place to others.

My family and I just stayed here this past week for my moms 65th birthday. The service as soon as we stepped out of our lyft driver was amazing. We were greeted with smiles and leis. Our bags were put on a trolly and rushed right up to our room. When we went to the lobby we were greeted warmly by Richard. He was so kind and thoughtful to help us out with a little birthday surprise for my mom. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home. Thank you Richard! Being our first time to Hawaii we wanted to know where we should go and venture to. We spoke with Jaimee down at concierge desk. She was very helpful and kind. We had so many questions and she answered them with a visual aide and knowledge. Appreciate her patience willingness to go above and beyond for us. Thank you Jaimee! Her recommendations were 10/10!

The room was nice and the location was good. We even got an upgrade, which we appreciated. However, kids' amenity was lacking; our 3-year-old daughter was excited for a plushie that we saw on youtube before researching the hotel, but it was not offered to us. Staff overall were very friendly, but the hostess at breakfast seemed overwhelmed as she told us we should have made a booking for breakfast even though there were so many tables open. I have never been to a hotel that asked guests to pre-book seating for breakfast... Also, the breakfast credit was confusing too. The receptionist told us we had $50 per person, then told us we had 75 in total, but the team doesn't tell you that there was a 20% auto gratuity. Oh, and unlike brands like Four Seasons, kids' meals are chargeable too. So overall, the hotel is good, but for the cost, it doesn't deliver the value.

I had an incredible stay at the Ritz-Carlton. I was in the Grand Suite Ocean View, and it was absolutely stunning. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional from start to finish—front desk, management, bellhops, concierge—every single person I encountered was warm, professional, and attentive. I genuinely miss being there as I write this review. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I loved that the room came with two housekeeping services each day—one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. That was a first for me, and such a luxury. The suite itself was spacious, peaceful, and perfectly quiet. You couldn’t hear a thing from outside the room, which I appreciated because that’s exactly the environment I was looking for. The pool and jacuzzi area was beautiful, with designated sections for adults and children. It’s open 24 hours—just be respectful and keep it quiet after 10 p.m. and you’re all set. The property also has two excellent restaurants: one is an Italian restaurant with gorgeous ocean views and outdoor bar seating, and the other serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and happy hour. The cocktails were great, and the ambiance was perfect. Location-wise, you’re just a short walk from all the major shopping—Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Macy’s, and more. The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived to when we left. There are dining options on site we had room service and enjoyed our steak and burger as well as a different day when breakfast was ordered and was divine. Housekeeping is unmatched! Will be staying here again.
