Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisonburg

We were driving from Savannah area to New Jersey. This hotel is right off highway I-81. It was clean, beds are comfortable. Adjacent to a Cracker Barrel so having something quick to eat was not a problem. Breakfast was included - waffles, bagels, coffee and juice was enough to tide you over until you can get to a real restaurant. Not bad for the price you pay for a good night's sleep. We will definitely consider staying here again when we are traveling.

Probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in. It was clean but claustrophobic. I was alone. Would not recommend for two. The television had a terrible picture and was almost unwatchable. Wi-FI was intermittent and very slow. Hotel has a good rating and I suspect it may be about their suites.

The room was clean , roomy and comfortable Reservation handled professionally. Nice breakfast. Great stop !

Check in was great. The room was not as nice as I thought it would be. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and hairs on the bathroom floor.

Check in was seamless. Check out was seamless. The room was cool and clean. The location was very close to our venue in Harrisinburg. I would recommend this hotel for future guests

Fine if only interested in sleeping. Room is small but pleasing.

Room was clean comfortable but small. Overall good value for the price.

My white socks were black after walking on the rug. Couldn't control the heat in either direction.

I have traveled extensively over the last 30+ years staying at many different hotels. This was the first at Microtel. I wasn't certain what to expect. The staff was polite. The room was very clean. The cost was very reasonable. I was very satisfied.

About what I expected for this price on a busy weekend.

When I made this reservation, I did not see that they do not allow cats. I was exhausted from driving all day long on my move down south from NYC and stopped for an overnight with my adult housetrained cat when they told me they do not accept cats. They referred me right next door though to the Ramada Inn and even honored my very low price for the hotel I got. The lobby seemed clean and I had to use the lobby bathroom which was fine. The man at the front desk was also very helpful and appologized as the policy was no cats. He understood I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep so he took care of everything and I just had to sign in with the Ramada next door front desk. Both hotels are RIGHT next door to a Cracker Barrel which let me do take out. I ate my meal and passed out! Everything was quiet and my cat seemed relaxed even though I was worried about noise since we were near the street.

Overnight en route to a family reunion. As always a good, clean comfortable room.

hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and it was close to massenutten resort

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed out stay.

It was nice but not top of the line for the price..............A little less noise would help.

This was a great hotel in the best location for my trip. I will look here first next time.

Everything was nice and as it should be. I have stayed there several times

I actually go to JMU but my roommates decided to party 24/7 (literally) during finals week so I couldn't sleep and came down with the flu. I'm on a college budget so I needed somewhere cheap, but I wanted a clean place too. Microtel was my best option, and I'm glad I chose it. Pay the extra few bucks for a suite, it'll give you more space. This is NOT a room for a big family (for that I would say get two rooms or stay elsewhere in one), but it serves its purpose. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet (thank goodness!). Continental breakfast was nothing special - four choices of cereal, bananas and apples, some juices, coffee, tiny muffins, breads, and bagels (there was also a waffle maker which I didn't use so I can't say anything about that). It was just something light to get you started with your day, plus it was free, so I'm not complaining. My room had a fridge, a small freezer (reeeeally small, a bit dirty inside), and a microwave. It was just what I needed. The only problems I found were that the fan made the room smell a bit musty which made me cough a bit, but after a while I didn't even notice it; also it's kind of bothersome that the front desk closes and you have to check in at the Ramada next door, but whatever. These are minor inconveniences, and you get what you pay for. Overall I had a pleasant experience. I was able to catch up on my sleep and get over whatever I was sick with, plus finish up some homework and studying. I would not stay here with my whole family, but I would stay here again, even with one other person. If you are looking for a fancy romantic getaway, this is not your place. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean, and quiet place to stay for a few days, this is the place for you. It is not a motel but it is not expensive either.

The rooms are tiny and the place is across the street from an eye sore, but it was clean and had everything we needed.

We were traveling and needed a quick place to stay right off the highway and this place was perfect. Nothing fancy but had a nice room and pet friendly.
