This property is located in a parking lot that has a Hilton and Ramada in it as well as a Cracker Barrel. It’s a convenient location to access James Madison University. However, the location is not scenic or extraordinary by any means. Your rooms are usually facing a concrete jungle. It served its purpose while we were there for one night.

Our room had a roach in it and the room had a terrible smell. For the price of this hotel I expect it to be clean and nice but I was seriously disappointed. Also there is not enough parking for all the guests so you have to park in the other hotels lot and hope it’s not an issue and then walk over to the Microtel. I would not stay here again.

Dont expect a quiet night.

During check in another guest was complaining about roaches. It only went downhill from there. We were told we had the last room which was adjacent to the lobby. Sleep was horrible as guests gathered loudly in the middle of the night. I had to approach the loud guests. No staff around to tell them stay quiet at 2am. Staff setting up breakfast before 6am was loud which was against our room wall. The one time i was able to ask for a better room i was told to check later which i could not. We also had a roach in our room.
