No rooms available even though I have a reservation. How is they possible!
The night staff was great. The sheets had stains on them so that was kinda yuck. Beds were comfortable. The area around the hotel is loud and disappointing but it was nice for passing through for a nights sleep. The breakfast was ok, had better. Overall I give the hotel a 3.5 out of 5.
Property was in great shape as was our room (very clean) and our room looked recently refurbished. The staff was friendly and very helpful as well. FYI, this hotel is pretty close to JMU (appx 2-3 miles) and we think nicer than the other one nearby JMU. We were disappointed that this Hampton Inn did not offer the buffet breakfast(they said due to COVID) although one we stay at in CT in June did have that. I also was disappointed that the internet access was down/not working for both computers in the "business center" and I prefer to use a desktop with a printer rather than my phone when searching directions or for places to dine. Other than those to minor things we had a great stay.
Even though they were understaffed, the hotel was managed well.

We usually stay at Hampton Inn as we can count on quality. It was comfortable and clean. We had a large room, but it just wasn't up to the usual Hampton Inn standards.
Glad we drove extra distance. Restaurants were great. Would come back again if in the area.
