Staying at The Pebble was such a beautiful and gracious introduction to Halifax. Liz is a hostess extraordinaire....charming, fun, and attentive to every detail. The rooms are elegant and very comfortable. The setting, right near the water, is lovely - serene and quiet. Each morning we were treated to a gourmet breakfast in the sweet dining room. I wish we could spend every anniversary here!
The house is located near the water- I could see the sun reflecting off the water from my bed- and so quiet! Our flight was delayed and my suitcase lost. When we called Liz to let her know we were delayed she was quick to reassure, had a toothbrush and a light supper for us. The Pebble will not allow you to go to bed hungry! Easy to book directly- give The Pebble a call. We will be back!
We spent 3 nights at The Pebble. Beautiful House in a beautiful neighborhood, Liz served us a delicious breakfasts c/w fantastic conversation. Our host Liz, captured our hearts. This place deserves an award.
Loved this B & B. It is so beautiful and Liz the host/owner is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable/ large and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. Will definitely come back and I will be recommending it to all of my friends/family.
Staying at The Pebble was a wonderful experience from our personal welcome by Liz with tea and home made scones and jam to our specific driving directions on departure. The B&B is in a great location with a lovely grassy area overlooking the water. We stayed in a new room on the top floor with a beautiful new bathroom. The decor throughout the house is impeccable reflecting Liz's personal touch and hard work. Will definitely return again.
Richard and I traveled the length of Nova Scotia, from Yarmouth to Cape Breton. Our last few days were in Halifax. The best was saved for last, and that would be The Pebble B&B. A beautiful home, in a quiet neighborhood reminiscent of old Pasadena, in a convenient location to downtown and the Bay. We were welcomed with fresh baked scones, wild blueberry compote and a pot of Irish Tea, by the owner. After our 4 hour drive from Cape Breton, we loved the TLC. (Take Note: This is Danny Meyer style Hospitality, 101.) Our bags went up to the room, where we had a gorgeous bathroom, Frette' towels, Molton Brown Toiletries and beautiful rain shower head. Clean, colorful, great window coverings, we had the Pebble Master Room. Dinner at a recommended spot in town, the Edna. Fun bar with good seafood; best of the trip. Breakfast was home made Irish SteelCut Oats, with dried fruit. Delicious! We had an amazing time in Nova Scotia, and the Pebble was the perfect wrap up to the entire trip. Before the long journey home.
My husband and I decided to travel to Halifax for our 27th wedding anniversary. I wanted to go somewhere by the water to enjoy beauty and tranquility. The pebble is by the water and the scenery is gorgeous!! The rooms are beautiful - the whole house is something from a storybook. I came across the Pebble and saw the pictures of the rooms. Not only were they large but also looked beautifully appointed with attention to detail - the placing of tables, bed linens and toiletries. The rooms also appeared to have many windows and lots of sun and charm. I made my reservation directly with Elizabeth and I'm glad I did. We spoke about the rooms, what to see and do in Halifax. When my husband and I arrived, we were incredibly pleased. The room (we stayed in the Armview) was precisely as it looked in the photographs - lots of light and excellently well kept. The special touch of Molton Brown toiletries and Joe Malone room spray were icing on the cake. The breakfast was scrumptious and healthy. The french press coffee was rich and Elizabeth was an excellent hostess.
Stayed in the attic room which was lovely, wonderful neighbourhood, loved my strolls down to the water, and amazing hospitality from my new best friend Liz. I will definitely stay at The Pebble again. Met two lovely couples, from Paris and San Francisco over a wonderful breakfast. Anita
Liz and David are amazing hosts. They are kind, generous, and really fantastic chefs!! Not only are the breakfasts the best we have had at any B&B (see photos), there were also really nice Port wine and snacks prepared at night time! The room was simply incredible. We had the “Pebble” master bedroom with a luxurious bathroom (salt baths!) The bed was really comfortable (queen size) and the neighborhood was so quiet. Every morning we woke up feeling really refreshed, to the sounds of the chirping of birds outside. All in all, if you are visiting Halifax, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to stay at this amazing B&B!
We stayed two nights- great room bed and linen, ac and beautiful ensuite bathroom with both tub and shower. Friendly proprietor-Liz- made excellent breakfast and great coffee. Worth the price. Will go back. Parking in front street in upscale neighborhood was no problem. Felt very safe and comfortable. Will go back.
