Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Furniture is old but that didn’t bother me. A doable walk from parking garage to the hotel however in evenings there were quite a few homeless people sleeping in the buildings that you had to walk through to get to the hotel which startled me as a traveller who was by myself. The hotel Itself is in a great location but just needs some updating. Breakfast not included and parking expensive - $86 for 3 nights in and out privileges. Good deal on Expedia vs booking through hotel.

I gave this hotel the rating of 1 because zero stars wasn’t an option. It’s not a 4 star hotel, the carpet really stinks, flushes don’t work, you don’t get room service, no breakfast, there were bugs, the worst experience ever!!

Excellent value

The hotel was very good value, hence the overall rating. The Tempo restaurant was excellent for breakfast. And the reception and room maintenance/service team was very responsive when we asked for new towels or for the door to be fixed. Our room was a bit on the tired side and we would have liked to have daily room clean and towel change, but realise this was probably reflected in the lower daily rate. Another down side was the distance from car park to hotel, which we found very annoying over 5 days. But overall an enjoyable, good value stay.

It’s a great location, in front of Scotia Square, bus stops and minutes away from the ferry terminal and several restaurants. Great staff, I had a minor issue and they assisted quickly.

Good location. Icy cold staff. Despite reporting WiFi issues, nothing was done. They connected me to their techs who had solutions. First time I’ve had to do my own troubleshooting. Despite this, no action was taken. In fact, they did not pass concerns to management.

Overall: a good experience and a good value for the money. Clean and most welcoming with night security adding to the level of comfort. The check in staff - she was lovely and helpful and couldn't do enough for me. The staff member who did my check out on the last day was equally friendly, kind and supportive seeking to help. Only one front desk staff person was cold and unfriendly both times that I interacted with her, so clearly attitude is an issue and perhaps should be coached and given the opportunity to at least pretend to be supportive. Apart from that one, not having daily housekeeping was a bit of a setback but when I asked for towels and tissues, was immediately looked after. The location is great and the overall feeling is one of welcome. I'll be back.
