Stayed here for work and it was a very comfortable place to stay. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. The location is excellent as it is just a block from the waterfront and located close to most of Halifax's restaurants. Valet parking is awesome.
I have been coming to Halifax on business and I love it here. The people are friendly and the town is lovely. I have have had some of the best seafood here and there is always plenty of things to do and seasonal festivals. The hotel is in a great location. Be advised that there is no parking so plan the extra expense of valet parking. Once you are here you can walk to most everything. The hotel has a terrace on the eighth floor with an amazing view of the harbor. The hotel has a bistro like all Courtyards which is great if you have a late arrival and want to grab a quick bite to eat.
My colleagues and I have been using the Courtyard Halifax on Salter Street as our 'business base' during many repeated overseas trips to Halifax over the past four years. Unquestionably, it is a great property at a strategic downtown and harbour-front location , providing guests with walking distance access to so many of Halifax's facilities and amenities. The hotel rooms are spacious clean, bright and well maintained, food choices are limited but quite tasty. Must also mention the cozy comfortable lounge and lobby - but best-of -class accolades must be reserved for the super friendly and helpful staff and management. Take a well deserved bow, all of you , and keep those high standards uniquely yours !
The location is excellent an easy walk to the harbour. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Many rooms have a harbour view. The staff are very helpful and have a 'can do attitude' Since our last stay the actual courtyard entrance is very attractive.
We always love Marriott hotels but this particular Courtyard by Marriott is unusually first rate. To start with their staff is friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are comfortable and large. And then the hotel has a balcony terrace on which you can have a lovely view of the waterfront in the rest of the city while sipping your favorite beverage or having a meal. And if that isn't enough, it is within walking distance to the public gardens, the Atlantic Maritime Museum, and several very good restaurants. Valet parking is available for an additional $22 per day. If ever I was in Halifax again I wouldn't even consider staying at any other hotel!
A very nice hotel in an awesome location - we were able to walk to the Citadel and the Halifax Public Gardens without using our car. There are a lot of amenities in the hotel - super helpful staff. And it's within walking distance of some great restaurants, the harbor and all of it's opportunities.
During my recent business trip I reached out to the wonderful staff ( especially Mary-Jane) to assist me in getting a reservation for me. Unfortunately I was too late to book a room but Mary Jane said she would keep me informed and would do her best. Needless to say she came through and I was able to meet two business associates at the Courtyard who, by the way, had the foresight to book early. I have been sdtaying at this hotel for many years and their staff have always exemplified the attributes of a first class hotel. Thank you!
The Courtyard is within walking distance of all of downtown Halifax, the sights along the harbor, and numerous restaurants. Many of the rooms overlook the harbor. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. There is an incredible terrace on the 8th floor that overlooks the harbor. It is furnished with outdoor furniture and quite lovely. I would stay here again.
This is one of the nicest courtyards I have stayed in. The team is very nice and the location is incredible. I usually got upgraded to the suite with the bay view and big skylight in the room. There is also a great gym and hot tub.
We stayed one night here on our last night in Halifax. They gave us a 4th floor room with a patio - nice, but not nearly as gorgeous as the 8th floor terrace overlooking the harbor. Big and wonderful. Room was standard Courtyard, nice sized and comfortable. In Halifax it's best to stay within a couple blocks of the harbor - further away and you have some mighty high hills to climb. Front desk was welcoming and helpful, and we got good service at the bistro.
