we checked in after a late night flight back to canada around 430 am and were charged a full night for 8 hrs of stay and told it would be another full rate to stay past 1pm . I had reconfirmed with reservations 3 times while booking the trip that we would be arriving early am and leaving the next day..and they said that was perfectly fine for a one night room rate. I even re confirmed a week earlier when we stayed before the vacation and all was good. I guess not!.. and then repairs to the hotel were beign done in the room adjacent to us so got only 5 hrs of sleep and decided to check out and head out on our 4 hour drive home a day early. on top of all that i think they have changed the mattresses..hard as a brick..very uncomfortable sleep.Spoke with manager and agreed on a 1/2 rate refund; but after the attitude given by the GSA who checked us in my wife will most likely not want to return to the property. I worked in Hotel industry for 4 years as an auditor.. this was just a bad day all around.

Not a bad place to lay your head, but, the bed was lumpy, the breakfast was 'okay' and the walls thin. Don't expect a long nights sleep as the early risers will keep you up. Staying the night to catch an early flight? All good. Rooms are upgraded but, only at a three star level.

I am here for training the hotel is clean safe and conveniet. You are surrounded by commercial buildings with nothing much to offer a travellrr but its good for what it is. Make sure to have a car becaise it is tbe only way to get around

The hotel itself is clean and safe. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and there are a variety of selections. The location is close to restaurants, entertainment, and the bridges to Halifax. What really sets this place apart from other area hotels is the staff. We were staying there for medical reasons and they really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. This has easily become our favourite place to stay in the HRM.

Enjoyed my 6 nights here at the Comfort Inn. Beds are very comfortable, pillows are excellent. Rooms are clean, excellent cleaning staff. The breakfast is typical of most hotels, The usual scrambelled / grilled eggs, hash browns, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bagels, toast, waffles, juice etc. Have no complaints at all, will be back when Im next in town.

We got to the hotel at about 9:30 at night and the man at the front desk was kind and efficient. The beds were *very* comfy and the room was quiet as anything, even though there seemed to be a lot of workmen/ construction crews staying there. Breakfast was simple but plenty; cereal, yogurt, fruit, make your own waffles, toast, pastries. There was also a small warmer with ham, sausage and scrambled eggs. Overall, a good location and excellent value. One piece of advice: there is no elevator, so those with mobility issues or who need/prefer to use an elevator will want to request a room on the first floor!

Lovely spot. I have stayed here 3 or 4 times. Great breakfast. Coffee and free papers. Super choice for breakfast. Left something behind and next time I arrived they had it waiting for me. Great Chinese restaurant across the street Staff super friendly.

Decent price, cheap compared to other places. The parking is free and there is also free continental breakfast and the staff was friendly. Decent size room, little bit of smell but nothing major. There Wi-Fi is horrible so don’t go if you absolutely need it. Decent place, nothing spectacular.

My stay there was average at best. On a high note the staff were friendly and my room was clean. On the down side the hotel is "tired" and in need of updating. The wi-fi signal was poor and the bed & pillows were too hard...I did not sleep well at all. The breakfast is included in the room rate and is not very good. The eggs look like some kind of imitation fried egg (kind of odd looking) and the sausage patties were terrible. Of course there are fresh waffles, toast, yogurt, fruit etc... but being a fan of eggs and breakfast meats I was disappointed. This hotel will not be on my list to stay at again. The Comfort Inn in Bayers Lake is a much nicer hotel in my opinion.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They had a washer and dryer for guest use which came in handy as we had been on the road for a week. Great location. We wanted to visit Halifax the following day which was a Saturday so we drove a couple of minutes to the Ferry that takes you from Dartmouth across to Halifax (2.50 CDN), left our car in the parking lot and enjoyed walking around Halifax for the day.
