Cambridge Suites Hotel

Hotel is in the middle of everything. Historic places, wharf, many restaurants, pubs and brewerys. Nice walk to everything.

I worked out at Rooftop Fitness studio & relaxed Whirlpool & Sauna with Halifax Citadel view. It was so unique experience.

This was my second stay. Enjoy staying at Cambridge Suites. The staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is close to many restaurants and Spring Garden. Plan to be back in 2017.

We used this at the beginning and ending of a Nova Scotia trip, so we could see some of the sites in Halifax.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, roof top patio clean and view very nice. Booked junior suite with separate bedroom and kitchenette. Was very comfortable but there is very little floor space left over, I would not say it was spacious but with 5 people in our group the two room suite was very nice. It had two tvs so our kids could watch one thing and us another etc. Continental breakfast included was tasty yet no breakfast meat included-could be purchased at extra charge. Wifi worked well. Parking is $20 a day.

The hotel and staff were wonderful! Blair went beyond the call of duty. The airline company lost my suitcase and she called several times to find out the status of my suitcase and personally delivered it to my room once it finally arrived to the hotel. Blair insisted that my vacation trip not be ruined by a lost suitcase and told me to go enjoy my day and she would stay on top of the lost suitcase. Heather put together a package (toothbrush, etc.) since my personal items were in the suitcase. I was traveling alone, and their hospitality made me feel as a VIP and not just another customer. Thank you!!! Bettie from North Carolina

This hotel is in a great spot (even if the area is a bit under construction right now.) The room was nice, breakfast was fine, and the staff very helpful when we asked for help finding a place to eat. It's centrally located in Halifax, just a short walk from the waterfront museums and the Garrison Brewery. Parking under the hotel was fine (but costs 20 bucks a day.) There were tons of great restaurants just below the hotel, and a shopping district very nearby too. I'd definitely stay there again. Get a room with Harbor View if you can (though you pay a little extra for it.)

I had stayed at this hotel many many times in the past so always requested a large suite. This time, I asked for an upgrade to a large one and the guy at the desk said no problem then charged me $25.00 more. When we got to our room ,however, it was not like the large suite I had previously had but decided to remain in it. When I opened the drapes we were looking square at a construction zone foll of rubble and 5 cranes. Next morning at 5am the banging began. I told them in the am that I was not happy but the lady did not care. Restaurant was lovely and their staff couldn't have been nicer. I will come back to the restaurant but NOT the hotel !

Quick check-in, staff dealt with a rowdy sports team, Continental breakfast very good. The location is fantastic, right by the Halifax Citadel and convenient to all the downtown ding and night spots. Décor getting a little dated but well maintained.

Pleasant, peaceful. Nice rooms and continental breakfast included. Right in town- walking distance to restaurants, waterfront and parks. Parking $18 extra, however very handy.

We booked this hotel over the Labour Day weekend as it was close to a wedding we were attending. The check-in was efficient and our room was comfortable and well appointed. We had a Queen bed with a sofa bed. Our room had a bar fridge with lots of room for our items, a microwave, coffee maker, wine glasses, and can-opener! We could have prepared food right there but with so many eating establishments nearby we didn't have to. The breakfast spread downstairs was delicious and available from 6:30-10:30. Hot oatmeal, perfectly hard-boiled eggs (served hot), cold cereal , fruit salad, granola, yogurt, walnuts, muffins, toaster +breads, English muffins and a fresh fruit bowl provided plenty to choose from for most tastes. If you want bacon, sausage, hash browns, fried tomatoes they can be ordered for a three dollar charge. Lots of hot coffee, decaf, tea or hot chocolate topped us up! This hotel is next to the Citadel fortress , with views of the iconic Halifax clock and close enough to walk to the historic waterfront area . Petes Fruitique and The Wooden Monkey are nearby and worth googling for checking out. We will stay here again when coming to Halifax .

We had a great time. The only inconvenience related to the parking. We had a car top carrier so we had to park in front of the hotel. There were limited spots which were in high demand.

The separation of the living space from the bedroom in the Junior Suite was wonderful. It felt luxurious for the price. The fitness studio was very well maintained and the rooftop patio provided a nice view of the city.

Received a very nice up grade; restraint costs were "unreal" high.

great place to stay but if we ever go back I might stay at a place down near the harbour since we are seniors and my wifes bad knee makes it near impossible to deal with all those steep hills.

The Cambridge Suites Hotel in Halifax is in the middle of Halifax, close to the Harbour, Spring Garden Road, Barrington street and directly below the Citadel (Halifax's most popular attraction). The hotel decor and rooms are a bit spartan but the rooms are spacious and are geared towards the business traveller. In addition, there is a lovely rooftop deck with a great 360 degree of the city.

Great hotel, close to lots of attractions in downtown Halifax, and nice view of the Citadel. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the breakfast - very poor given the quality of the hotel otherwise. I swear that they put out the same boiled eggs and orange/grapefruit segments every day that I was there. Bring your own breakfast stuff - the suites have a fridge and microwave and dishes.

Mydaughter has applied to Dalhouise and we needed a place which was close to both downtown and the university. The location was perfect as it allowed us the opportunity to walk everywhere. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Attended Canada Winter Games. The hotel is centrally located; always a reliable and comfortable standard.

The hotel is clean and has a fridge, microwave and sink. There were two dislikes. One was the parking space availabllity. Paid $16 ovenight which is reasonable but could not find underground space and outdoor. Ended up parked on some other store parking space and left my car key with the front desk. The other was Express check out. Still did not know why Express Check out was not working, had to go throught front desk.
