Our family of 4 had two - one nights stays this past week at the Old Town Chambers. You can't beat the tucked away location in the middle of old town -- a quick walk to the train station, great restaurants and the Castle. The apartments are clean and well equipped. I enjoyed staying at Cairn Hotel very much! I expected some noise as the reviews already warned, so it was not surprising. But all staffs are very kind and helpful, and the hotel is small but very cozy. The location is also very nice that it's very close to new city with lots of options of ...
Good hotel but limited parking available, and the staff wasnt very helpful.
I have stayed at this hotel on two trips to Scotland and will not stay anywhere else. This is the Hotel in Edinburgh! Best location in the city, good food, wonderful rooms (especially the one I had my latest trip with a view of the castle and Princess Street). Very clean and a friendly, helpful staff.
we enjoyed Edingburgh and the apartment was clean and walking distance to main areas. really cozy and nice view even of the cemetery across the street for haunts
I had a wonderful three night stay! My "petite" room was quite roomy and posh, with a great view of the Royal Mile. I loved how central it was to a lot of things like sights and transportation. Room service was also prompt and courteous. The only "negative" experience I had was being awoken to a fire drill at 8am and standing out in the cold (I didn't think to put my coat on). But they did a good job of taking a head-count and getting everyone back inside in a timely manner. Safety first, right? I will definitely be staying here again!
