We use Holiday Inn Hamilton when visiting family.we were little disappointed with our stay in your holiday inn hotel Edinburgh. Staff on reception wasn’t friendly She’s the first person You meet . We thought breakfast was included In the room price. Not all staff like the girl at reception maybe she needs more training . The sink in the room had a crack in it we passed this on when leaving really this should have been checked . Don’t let holiday Inn down

Everything at the hotel was fabulous, the only issue we had was the morning we were checking out. We were due to check out at noon yet the housekeeper kept knocking on our door trying to get the room done. I don’t find this acceptable when we are entitled to stay in the room until noon. This was reported to staff member on reception who was fabulous.

Room was good and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, small but adequate. We didn’t book breakfast when booking, so it was going to cost us £16.95 ea. that’s steep! Not a brilliant choice, only thing gluten free was bread and bacon (pricey sandwich), and the rest not very good, I’m afraid. Hotel had nice ambience and I liked it well enough.

Overall the hotel was good. However the cleanliness of downstairs wasn’t replicated upstairs. Some of the towels had rips in them and the bin hadn’t been changed when we arrived as there was a used condom in it.

Room was clean and comfortable and temperature controls worked well. 1st floor room was handy. Paid for breakfast 2 mornings and kids ate free. Very handy location, buses into the city every 5 mins and easy from the airport too. Only issue was WiFi didn’t work in our bedroom but would definitely stay again. Was £120/ night cheaper than staying in the city centre.
