We rarely can sleep through the night but these beds are so soft and comfortable. Rooms are average-bit on the small size I think. Hard to regulate heat too. The thermostat said 65 but it felt more like 80 even though the temps outside were between 5-20 degrees. Breakfast was actually very good. Off the busy traffic just enough to make it a quiet place to stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Clean and comfy. Quiet and far off main roads helps. Kind friendly staff. Great all around. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone going through grand forks. Definitely gonna stay here again if ever need be. Easy to access.
I thought this was just an average Fairfield Inn & Suites. PROS: * Clean room * Friendly staff * Good breakfast * Comfortable bed * Quiet air conditioner CONS: * Dirty parking lot * Printer didn't work * Very small swimming pool * Elevator: small, smelly and slow
Made a trip to Grand Forks to see our daughter's family and the grandkids. Hotel was very nice, room was well done and check in staff very good. Love the check in cookies and apples and bananas and the cold water for all visitors. Pool was being repaired the day of check-in, but staff said would be available next day. It was an accurate statement, and we had the pool the next day. Love an informed staff. Were offered choice of which floor to stay on which was nice. Breakfast is good, hot scrambled eggs. oatmeal, choices of breads, muffins, bagels, Belgian waffles. I'm a vegan, so it was nice to see "Silk" soymilk available for me to use with cereal, coffee was hot and plentiful, oj and apple juice. We had the grandkids over to use the pool and staff was very accomodating. The next day, we checked out but asked about being able to use common lobby area to have grandkids over to do a t-shirt for me with their handprints. Again, staff was great about letting us use the area, and offered plates, and area to do the handprints. Will stay again, can't beat the service. Nice that its close to the Columbia Mall, and good eats.
Stayed here last night. It was a quiet clean hotel which is what we were looking for. Did not go to the pool but it is small compared to other hotels. Lots of tv channel options. Breakfast was good. Fair selection of morning items. The only issue we had was the elevator. We asked for a 3rd floor room and took the elevator up when we arrived. Sounded like it was straining and there was a strong smell of an over heated motor. But we would stay again.
We booked a room through booking.com so we got a great deal for a Saturday night. The hotel was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean, I can't say much for the breakfast because I did not eat it. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the website I booked I through said there was a hot tub which turned out there was not. Otherwise it was a great stay and I would stay again.
The desk clerk was welcoming and friendly. We had upgraded from a king to a king suite to have a more spacious room for babysitting our grand-daughter for a few hours. The room was large, clean, updated and quiet. We were in room #315 which faces the east. The only issue was that the bed is extremely soft and every movement/turn affected the other side of the bed. If you like that, then you would sleep well there. The breakfast was good and sustaining. They have a diffuser pitcher of water in the lobby which was great! Parking was great if you parked and did not leave again.
Gave it a 3 because of our room location. Nothing unusual about this Fairfield. This one did have a good price. Our room was next to the prep kitchen for breakfast so the noise started very early, well before 0600.
My family and I stayed 2 nights at the Fairfield Inn Grand Forks. Upon arriving the parking was sparse for a pickup but we did find a spot. Check in was great. I had checked in online ahead of time so I just had to pick up the key cards. The gentleman that greated up was very professional and friendly. Our room although slightly small was very clean. We slept well on the comfy beds and the halls were quiet. Breakfast on the first day was great, well stocked and ckean. The second day it looked like a tornado hit and food was nearly gone even though we went down early. The staff refilled it as we ate. My only complaint was that when we returned at 4:30 on the first day out we found our room just the way we left it. No one had even attempted to clean. I went to the front desk only to find out that housekeeping had already gone for the day. The girl at the desk got us some towels ready that we picked up after dinner. I should have just left our used towels hanging but I didn't think about that at the moment. All in all it was a good stay.
My wife and have come down to Grand Forks for a weekend (nights) of dining, shopping and relaxation. Upon arrival we were quite satisfied with the overall appearance of this property.The hotel was very clean and the front desk staff were friendly. Our room was nice and made for relaxation. We were off to a good start for the weekend. We fell asleep at about 11:30 pm on the first night with a sense of excitement that there would be no kids to wake us up. Then at about 12:10 am our door was opened by someone with a key. Thank God we had the latch on as I wasn't wearing much (it turned out that the front desk person reassigned our room). The whole situation had our adrenaline going enough that sleep was out of the question for a couple more hours- so much for the peaceful sleep and relaxation part of the night. I am writing this review on the second night as I am again disappointed with this establishment. After a day of shopping i reviewed the credit statement only to discover there were extra charges on our credit card. We had booked with a third party company and paid for our room weeks ahead of time. According to our online credit card statement the hotel has charged us again for the room. There was also another charge on the card from the hotel that could not be explained. When we asked the young lady at the front desk ( a pleasant young woman) she could not explain why we were charged or what the second charge was.She informed that it shouldn't be the security deposit as this charge usually doesn't apply to third party bookings. So no explanations as to why to the charges are on our card. Apparently we can talk with a manager tomorrow but we sleep or try to sleep with this mess hanging over us. In the end, we are not complainers, but having security of our room breached one night and then to have our finances messed with no resolution until morning the next, our relaxation has certainly been tarnished. Now I have no doubt that we will get our money back but what if we hadn't noticed the error? Has this happened to any other's who have not noticed? Hmmmm... In the end, this is a clean quiet hotel with friendly staff. But if you do stay here, put the back up locks on your door with the latch and pay attention to your credit card charges- you never know!
