Located by the sea, Rusheen Bay House is in a great spot only a short drive from Galway City. The B&B itself is good. The rooms are basic, but with everything you need for a night or two. Ann, the owner, is wonderful. We were offered a complimentary continental breakfast during our stay. Unfortunately I left a jacket at the property and was unable to return to collect it before flying to Italy. Ann generously offered to post the jacket to my relatives' home for me to receive. Ann, thanks so much. I couldn't have asked for better service!
We had a setback on our journey and couldn´t make it to Galway on time. I cannot be grateful enough with the owner who was super understanding and cancelled my booking eventhough it was high season and we didn´t respect the 48 hours cancellation policy. THANK YOU. I know this was a total exception but it gives me a good idea of her human value.
Nice b&b on bay- small room, wonderful breakfast, close to public bus to town. Ann the owner is very accommodating and pleasant. She has great pride in her business The views from property are beautiful- nice neighborhood. Lots of places to walk and tour
I liked this B&B a lot. I thought it was very relaxing. They did a good job with the dining room and outdoor patio. Our room was very nice as well as our bathroom. We had a nice view of the ocean. It is a little outside Galway but there was the taxi hotline set up making it very easy to have someone drive you in. That way no one had to drive and everyone could just relax for the day. This is a good location for Galway because there are so many big attractions around this area but outside Galway so you did not have to go through the traffic areas. The breakfast was good. There are many golf courses around this area and easy to get to.
This B& B is in an excellent location. Close to local bus service. Galway is within 20 mins car ride. Nice restaurant within walking distance. My room was nicely furnished, very clean. Room was quiet no disturbing street noise. The selection of breakfast food was nicely presented, In addition to fresh fruits, cold cereals, & yogurt Anne, the proprietor, will prepare eggs & beacon.
When we made our booking a year ago we were drawn by the glowing recommendations by our guests. We had not appreciated that it’s situated quite far from Galway city centre or even the Salthill hub. But the location turned out to be perfect, far from the amusement area for a start! The bus stop for Bus 402 to and from Galway (Eyre Square) was a couple of minutes walk away from Rusheen Bay House. (Merlin Park to go to town an Seacrest at bus stand 6 to get back) There’re 2 buses ever hour. Rusheen Bay House was comfortable family home and it was great to stay there at a reasonable price. Anne was very helpful and a good source of advice!
We booked a twin room in January for three nights. We paid what appeared to be a well above than average price. On arrival were dismayed to be given a very small room just big enough for two beds; at a 90 degree angle. The walls were so thin that every noise from the next room could be heard. The occupants had showers at 12 and 3 am and with the toilet fan being left on for most of the night meant that we had hardly any sleep. This was made worse by the fact that the curtains were not lined and there were no blinds so the room got light at 5am. The standard of decor throughout was years out of date. The bedside lamp has a flex that would not reach the socket. We complained next morning and the owner said we could leave so we did.
Arrived after a long drive from The Giants Causeway and was greeted very warmly by Ann, the proprietor. The property was elegent and the room was spacious with a very nice ensuite bathroom and a lovely view over the bay. Parking was literally just outside the front door. Rusheen Bay House is in a great location being only a few hundred metres from a family restaurant (Capones) and a large supermarket. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nice clean accommodations on the north side of Galway facing the Atlantic, the beginning of the great Wild Atlantic Way. Tea/coffee maker in room. Nice sized room for a double. Very quiet. Proprietor very helpful and nice. She gave good suggestions as to places to visit. A bit far from the nightlife downtown but that's what I wanted. If you're wanting pubs and restaurants you will have to drive a bit to reach them. View to the Atlantic from my room was nice, although parking was in front of it and busy road. There was a nice walking path to it. Galway is a pretty busy city pro plan accordingly.
We stayed here last night have to say can't recommend it enough was beautiful both staff and house its self and a fantastic breakfast this morning . We were down for a family wedding and hotel was full but here was just as good if not nicer and have to say so clean and comfy bed what more could you ask for Will definitely be visiting again .
