Stayed a night here on our way to see the Cliffs of Moher

Staff were friendly and so helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Food was very good in restaurant for all meals. Close to city centre and the bus to Shannon airport leaves from college next to hotel. Loved our stay (4 nights) and would highly recommend.

My 80 year old parents and I had a wonderful stay at the Flannery Hotel. The three beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very filling and a good value. The staff was very helpful with our late check-in, in getting me a cab to take downtown shopping, and with all our other questions. Downtown is a short 15 min walk but I took a cab because of the rain. I would stay here again!

On our recent stay at Flannery's the staff treated us like family—when there was an issue with our original room—a previous occupant had left a disgusting mess, staff went above and beyond to sort things out. The hotel seems to be in good shape, with additional renovations being ongoing. We enjoyed Frankie's—the onsite pub which seemed popular with the locals, and the location, parking was free on site, and though the hotel isn't in the city centre, it's only a 6 minute drive to the 4 Euro all day parking at Galway Cathedral. We'd highly recommend it for families looking for value, or travellers looking for a spot in Galway that won't break the bank.

Excellent, lovely room and nice staff. A little bit out of town but I knew that when I was booking. From looking at other reviews it appears we may have been staying in a refurbished part of the hotel. It was room 210 and was perfect. Fantastic value also. My boyfriend had lunch in the bar and said it was lovely.

In my short 3 or 4 interactions w/ the staff, they were all willing to help & seemed genuinely interested. Location was great for the school, but a few minute drive for the shopping/bar area. The room was overall just fine. Nothing fancy, but the bathroom was nicely redone.

Excellent hotel if you have a car or don't mind walking 40minutes to town. Not much around.

This was a great hotel, the rooms were very clean and the beds were nice. We ate dinner in the bar downstairs, which had a variety of good food. The receptionist when we checked out was very helpful sending us on our way out of Galway.

The intent for this destination was to travel to the Connemara region for a drive and also visit downtown Galway. I choose my location poorly though, and we were only able to take the drive. The area around the hotel is a bit inconvenient in that there are no eateries or pups nearby, which leaves a person to rely on the hotel for meals equalling extra expense. Room price was excellent; I got the room for a very good rate. Room was clean and functional. The hotel restaurant was tasty during the day; the evening lounge was focused on beverages rather than food. If I hadn't been pregnant, this would not have been an issue.

Staff assisted us with adaptors for our mobiles and laptop as our luggage from London had not arrived as yet. Dinner and Breakfast were served quickly and we felt welcome and in good hands. Fantastic bar area to relax before dinner and the Guinness really is the best in Ireland. Had wireless internet in our room to use and noted the rooms were delightful and comfortable after visiting castles all day.

This was a very nice hotel, ( NO AC OPEN THE WINDOWS!!!! ) the staff was VERY HELPFUL especially when it came to helping me get the flat tyre ( tire ) fixed. Staff went out of their way to get me the location and phone of a tire shop to fix my flat. rooms and hotel very clean wish it would have been close to An Lar ( city Centre )

I was in Galway for just a few days, meeting up with a friend in the city. This hotel is only a short bus ride from the city, and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. For the price the location is GREAT. The bus ride is only 1.60 Euros. Once in the city there is plenty to do. The reception and house cleaning staff are fabulous! Pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately, can't say the same for the bar tender. Wanted to eat dinner at the bar, and he said sure. When my dinner came, he told me I had to move to a table. Wouldn't have ordered dinner there had he told me that in the first place. Other than that, had a fabulous experience. I even booked an extra night here!! Another bonus... free wifi! Great for Skyping and keeping in touch family back in the USA!

The Hotel was OK. Downpoints were that it was too far from downtown, and rather expensive for a basic hotel room.
