Mostly a great property. The multiple sets of doors in the hallways are a little hard to get through with a suitcase, but not impossible.
The property was nice. It is close to Galway. The staff were attentive and did a great job. The food is the bar is also quite good. In general, I was happy with this hotel, and I would return.
Great hotel. Great breakfast.Quiet. Would stay again.
Pro: Close to Galway bus station. Offered free WiFi. No need to pay extra for it. Cons: restroom was outdated, neglected and dirty. They put us on the first floor. Twin bedroom. The room was pretty diary. Beds were mediocre, not terrible, but not comfortable. Paid $120 usd a night for that. The bathroom: small, the water didn't drain well, and the shower curtain was rusty and moldy.
The hotel was bigger than I expected. Clean, modern rooms and very helpful staff. Nice restaurant and pub with food service as well. It was pouring buckets of rain in August so it was good to have a nice room to get warm in.
Just loved embracing the Irish culture. We originally booked an AurBNB, but it was a disastrous place. We booked Flannery’s and it was a good decision.excellent staff and food.
Older hotel outside city center. Easy to drive into as it's outside city center. Basic room and bath but good value. Hotel room could be cleaner as carpet not vacummed and used coffee cups not replaced.
The TV does not work properly so could not watch the football game from the room. Hope they get it fixed today but did not offer to do more to fix it last night.
Excellent service overall. Very kind staff and clean rooms that we came back to.
Supposed to have two queen beds but just has a split double bed - two single mattresses on one bed frame. Then there was an €11 charge per night for an extra person in a double room! Total ripoff.
Check in fast and easy, nice facilities, too bad they don't have pool and can't recall if gym. The bathroom is very dim and lift very slow
The staff is awesome at Flannerys. They made our stay welcoming and seamless. Especially Phil. What a wonderful experience.
Lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant are great! The seafood chowder is outstanding! Check in and out was fast and hassle free. Easy parking. Clean, spacious room. The only things that need improvement are the breakfast choices and the wifi connection.
Stayed a night here on our way to see the Cliffs of Moher
Staff were friendly and so helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Food was very good in restaurant for all meals. Close to city centre and the bus to Shannon airport leaves from college next to hotel. Loved our stay (4 nights) and would highly recommend.
My 80 year old parents and I had a wonderful stay at the Flannery Hotel. The three beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very filling and a good value. The staff was very helpful with our late check-in, in getting me a cab to take downtown shopping, and with all our other questions. Downtown is a short 15 min walk but I took a cab because of the rain. I would stay here again!
On our recent stay at Flannery's the staff treated us like family—when there was an issue with our original room—a previous occupant had left a disgusting mess, staff went above and beyond to sort things out. The hotel seems to be in good shape, with additional renovations being ongoing. We enjoyed Frankie's—the onsite pub which seemed popular with the locals, and the location, parking was free on site, and though the hotel isn't in the city centre, it's only a 6 minute drive to the 4 Euro all day parking at Galway Cathedral. We'd highly recommend it for families looking for value, or travellers looking for a spot in Galway that won't break the bank.
Excellent, lovely room and nice staff. A little bit out of town but I knew that when I was booking. From looking at other reviews it appears we may have been staying in a refurbished part of the hotel. It was room 210 and was perfect. Fantastic value also. My boyfriend had lunch in the bar and said it was lovely.
