Disappointed property

This is a great hotel, great staff, great food. However, the early morning noise from the ongoing construction was horrible.

We stayed for six nights and everything was incredible. I hope to return soon.

Treated my grandfather with great respect. It was a wonderful place that I would recommend to family and friends.

All around great stay. The people, hotel and experience was first class!!!!!

It was a lovely, peaceful stay. I'd return in future if the price was a bit lower.

What a fantastic experience. From the very first it was extraordinary. Our flight got in early and we arrived at the hotel at prior to normal check-in. Our room wasn't ready yet so they put us in the River Restaurant for tea while the we waited. The service couldn't have been better. Everyone was very dedicated and professional in their job. We had dinner there almost every night and I had to ask whether they had a recipe book or not. The food was so good. We loved the Atlantic Chowder. I felt so comfortable there. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a place away from it all, with ample room to walk the grounds and just have some peace. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

It was beautiful and traditional, but a bit worn looking. It is a 15 Euro cab fare from Galway, and there is nothing nearby.

This was a great find for us. We had rented a car in Dublin to drive across to Galway. Glenlo Abbey is north of the city by a few kilometers. It has a grand set of grounds for walking, a golf course for those inclined, and a refined, elegant air in the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, and the service impeccable. We chose not to eat in the Pullman car restaurant in front of the hotel, instead had dinner in the pub downstairs. We had wonderful meals and attentive, yet discrete service. It is on the shore of Loch Corrib, with a walking trail along the shore. A 5 minute drive gets one to the center of Galway. We were able to visit Dunguaire Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren easily in a day. We highly recommend Glenlo Abbey

The hotel itself was stunning- the grounds were manicured perfectly. The best time we had the whole stay was eating at the Pullman Restaurant...everyone working there was so amazing and really made the experience great. For the most part the staff at the hotel were nice as well. I guess for how much we spent to stay there I was expecting a LITTLE more effort from them. The hairdryer in my room was from the 19th century and barley worked-- so if you stay there make sure you ask for a normal hair dryer, I wasn't aware they had one available until the end. The breakfast was delicious!! Don't buy the jewelry in the case-- I understand you're paying for convenience, but when I found the same jewelry at SEVERAL other places for much less it was extremely frustrating.
