Hotel under construction. Room was very clean. Great bathroom and water pressure. Hotel food was good. Large portions. About a twenty min walk from city center and the Quays. Would stay here again.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfast and restaurant serves good food. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Easy walk to shopping.

Good location a bit outside the city center, on the 407 bus route. Extensive renovations are going on during daytime hours, noisy in breakfast area after 8:00 AM. Nice room, very friendly staff.

This was perhaps the best hotel we stayed in during our two week Europe tour. While we wish it were closer to the center of town, everything about the hotel---the lovely room, friendly staff, the beautiful architecture of the building, and 5 star look---made up for the distance. We felt like we were completely royal during our stay!

The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious, great shower though be careful if you are short. Getting in and out of the tub is fun!! It's a high step. The beds are a little uncomfortable though. Had dinner at the bar. Seafood chowder is excellent!!! Breakfast was good and check out smooth.

Great stop on our five day adventure through Ireland. Parking was easy, rooms were comfortable, staff was helpful, all in all a good place to stay.

Room was quiet and clean, beds were hard. Enjoyed the breakfast & convenience of bar downstairs. Meals are pricey in bar and restaurant for the quality you get. Hotel is not that close to Galway downtown and on a roundabout which can drive you nuts. It didn't help that construction was going on the street so you can enter hotel but can't get back to roundabout to get back to town. Of course this is all temporary. Recommended for short stay in Galway but would like for something closer to main part of town next time.

Galway is an interesting town with a lot to see and do (if you are familiar with the movie The Quiet Man then you will want to take a quick trip to Cong (just 45 min or so away, but familiar to the fans of the movie as Inisfree). It is very pedestrian friendly (in the old part of town where most tourists would venture to). The Menlo Park Hotel is just a short bus ride (costs only 2 euros) away from the noise and traffic associated with the bustle in Galway. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff made this a fantastic stay.

Menlo Park Hotel is a nice and clean place to stay in Galway. If you're on a budget, this is a great place to stay, especially if you happen to have breakfast included eith your stay. Their breakfast is buffet-style and there's a nice assortment of meats, bread, cheese, etc. If you'll be relying on public transport, you should know that this hotel is a 20-25 minute walk to the Train/Bus station. Furthermore, it's located near big box stores and the like, not the cutesy/touristy city center. Regardless, it's a nice enough place to rest your head for a couple of nights.

The hotel is nondescript on the outside, nice enough inside. Check-in and check-out were not overly friendly but pleasant. Windows that open, heat that can be adjusted and free wireless were a joy. Room service was quick and surprisingly good - smoked fish chowder and homemade brown bread with a very fresh and crisp salad. Package of cookies with the coffee/tea tray was welcome. Only real drawback was the location - not close to downtown Galway, nothing much to walk to from hotel, need a car to get to town and then parking is a hassle.

Great hotel! The bar / restaurant is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is very good, about a 20 minute walk to down town.

I chose this hotel because of the name and the location. We do not like to stay in the city center, so this was perfect. Bus #407 has a stop right in front of the hotel, so it couldn't be any easier.

It was nice and inexpensive. Walking distance to town and great Pilates in the area

We found Menlo Park very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and willing to assist. Biggest drawback is the distance to downtown Galway.

The hotel staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. Dinner was equally enjoyable and very good - ate in the bar area, which is frequented by the locals and adds to the charm. The location is easily accessible from the highway and is a short distance into he center of town. Would stay again and would recommend.

I liked the convenience of the in hotel bar and restaurant. The room rate was very reasonable and parking was free. They also offered a discount on breakfast if paid in advance. If I'm out that way again, that's where I'll stay.

The hotel lobby is very nice and is somewhat deceiving. The lobby is modern and there is a nice bar. The rooms, however, are very basic and there is absolutely nothing special about them. Might as well have been in a Days Inn. DO NOT MAKE CALLS from your room either - I was charged $50 for a few local calls!!

I messed up our arrival date, getting there a day early, late at night, tired and hungry. They were all booked up, but the staff went out of their way to help us find a place nearby and get something to eat. [...]The room was nice and we met ome nice people in the pub at the hotel.

Everyone very nice. Lively pub
