We stayed in these apt for a hens weekend. Apt was very spacious. Room 1 has a double bed with en suite, Room 2 has two singles. Main bathroom. Kitchen & seating area & a large balcony. Pros: The location, honestly you couldn't get any better, less than a minutes walk to Eyre Square. Very spacious. Decent views from both from & back of apts Cons: The double bed was very uncomfortable, felt like there was a thin piece of fabric separating the spring & my body. Also apt needs to have a full length sweeping brush, our backs were breaking using the dust pan & brush, A hoover would be ideal (hint hint) For the price of the rental of the apt for two nights, it would be really nice if the owners bought table & chairs for the balconies. Such a waste of space, would have been really nice to have sitted out and enjoy it.

We have been staying here for the past five days and found the accommodation very comfortable. Two couples in separate bedrooms, one ensuite and another large bathroom with large shower cubicles. Kitchen was well equipped. We are in apartment 7 on floor 4 which has large corner windows overlooking eyre square and Galway bay. We ate at the western hotel on one evening and took advantage of the three course house menu at €21.95 (before 7.30 pm) and the meal was very good. Check in at the western hotel, park in the underground car park on st Bridget's street, and then drove round, and round, and round and eventually found the car park for the apartments! Would stay here again if we ever come back to Galway.

After reading reviews of this property, we were a little worried what we would find. However, the apartment was fine. Positives include central location, modern and light and bright. Negatives - definitely need far better instructions to find the car park! Some bath gel would have been good and DEFINITELY larger bath towels. The ones we had were the size of hand towels. Overall this apartment was good for a few days stay in Galway.

I stayed here with two of my friends and if your looking for a place where you can be left to your own devices then these apartments are perfect. Very spacious and the view was fantastic. Have read other reviews about some stuff being outdated but our apartment was very modern. Only difficult part was finding the car park but you can also park at the hotel and the apartments are literally around the corner. Will be staying here again

Spent 3 days here, v well apointed and centrally situated, parking was an issue as the instructions to locate the entrance in the underground car park via the 1way system where not clear, apartment was spotlessly clean, v comfortable beds, good showers, full kitchen. Some areas were showing wear and tear with a few chips out of furniture but overall we were v impressed and would revisit.

We had booked 2 rooms in the hotel but on arrival were offered the penthouse next door. The view was magnificent and the 3 bedroom apartment very spacious. However, so many things were missing, like coathangers, teatowels etc...There were crumbs in the kitchen drawers, a coat of dust in the large bedroom, an ensuite toilet not flushing properly. The worse part was the very hard beds, the mattresses were on a wooden board (like in the 80's) instead of slats. Some people like a hard bed but it is not to everybody's taste. Also the TV channels choice extremely poor. The best part of it was the location without any doubt. These apartments need a bit of TLC and considering the prices at Easter should be in perfect condition. The staff at reception and bar was extremely friendly.

These holiday apartments looked clean and modern via photos, but not the cleanest; damaged kitchen countertop; uncomfortable, weird beds with sheets that did not smell clean; warped deck; and NASTY shower encrusted in mildew and black mold.

My husband and I booked this property because of its location in Galway City Centre. The pictures online were really nice and the reviews seemed pretty good. However, the unit itself was definitely not what we were expecting. Despite the very modern, updated photos, the building is actually quite old and a bit dingy. First issue we had was that the elevator was very small, however, once we got the luggage up, we didn't have any issues with it. Second issue was actually getting into the unit. It appears that some units open directly onto the balcony, however, our unit was through a separate (unlocked) door into a vestibule with other units. The door into our particular unit was very difficult to lock and unlock, which was very frustrating. Instantly upon entering the unit we were hit with a foul odor, almost like stale cigarette smoke mixed with old, musty carpet. This was very upsetting as we certainly were not expecting this from our accommodations. After traveling, we wanted to use the bathroom, however, the toilet would not flush properly. Additionally, the toilet continued to run for a long time and it was extremely loud. The furniture is very old and dingy. I wished I brought Clorox wipes to wipe it all down before using. Literally no TV channels - not even news! The windows overlooking the city were amazing - pretty much the only thing (other than the location) that we enjoyed about this apartment. The kitchen was sparsely stocked with a couple utensils, a few old pots, and some mismatched glassware. The refrigerator never got cold, no matter what we did. We used the freezer to cool things, which was annoying. There are no dish towels, napkins, paper towels, etc., so you have to use the bath towels to dry dishes. Probably the worst part about this apartment was that the bedrooms are very old and worn. There is awful carpeting with a very used looking bed which was very uncomfortable. The windows in the bedroom overlooked the walkway that you use to enter the unit-vestibule. This was very unsettling as we felt like people could look in at us sleeping, or worse, break in. The check in process at the Western Hotel was fine. It was a very short walk, even with luggage, from one property to the other. Below the building is a TK Maxx, which we enjoyed shopping in during the rain. The location is really great and the views are very nice. If it had been a bit warmer, we would have enjoyed sitting in the common area overlooking Galway Bay. I will say that my husband actually wanted me to contact the property and ask for our money back so we could stay elsewhere. I told him that the unit was fine for the two nights that we were there, and ultimately, we made it through. However, I would not recommend staying here unless you have pretty low standards for your accommodations. I truly believe that the pictures were so misleading, that it was a huge let down once we actually arrived. I think it goes without saying that we will not be returning to this property.

My friend and I stayed here last weds 15th March, it was a good half way point for us to meet as we had both our 6 month old babies with us. I phoned in advance to ask if i could have two cribs put in our apt, the very pleasant receptionist rang me back within a minute and said she could honor my request. The apt was beautiful, clean and had two cribs ready as requested. Kitchen units have all that you need and location is amazing two mins walk from shop street. Overall a very pleasant stay polite receptionists etc. My one point would be that the hotel is not very accessible with buggies there are 3 steps up to the door, so we found that hard to navigate not sure what you would do with a wheelchair? We were not staying there so wasnt a big issue just when checking in and out of apt. I would happily return with family or friends and would recommend to anyone to stay here it will not dissapoint.

Perfect location These apartments have a great location One major fault would be check-in. You have to check in across in the hotel and go around the full one way system with your car to park. It's a pain. Breakfast was lovely. Location is ideal and the apts have stunning views x
