Highly recommended place for family. Room was basic, all needed were there. Staff absolutely wonderful and helpful, either in restaurant and pool or reception. Swimming pool it self was big had sauna and steam room. Very clean. I found very family friendly. Food was beautiful at the restaurant dinners/breakfast! Not far from the city. We will be back!! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this hotel. Food drink & exellent service. A special mention to David Arrigan who does a superb job. Will definitely be back again and again. If you just fancy a bite to eat or a sociable drink either with family or friends or both call into the Connacht Hotel. Staff there will go above and beyond their duties.

The Ryan Room was an excellent choice for 50+ people who attended the special Video Viewing of our recent trip to Germany. The Ryan Room is a lovely setting for a party, get-together, etc. The Staff were excellent - nothing was too much. The choice of Finger-Food and the Pizzas went down extremely well with all attending. We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Jacqueline O'Dowd HR Manager of the Connacht who organised the night for us.

Located a bit out of the center of the city it is a great place to base. Walk to the Old Town or take a bus to get the city center - both ways are comfortable and easy. There are several restaurants and shope in the area so it is possible to stay in the hotel to spend a calm night. Very nice people at the reception desk and clean and vast rooms.

This hotel is gorgeous! Stayed between the 2nd and 5th of November with my boyfriend. The staff were so pleasant and couldnt do enough to help us. We were upgraded upon arrival which is always a bonus. Loved the gym had everything i needed and the pool was really nice although busy during the day. The lady manager of the solo bar was just the lovliest lady really helpful and accomodating. The food was 10/10 nothing i could fault about dinners and the amazing breakfast spread. Nightly entertainment was very good. I am already planning my next trip back. Highly recommend it if you want a nice relaxing get away.

my self and friend stayed at hotel on 4 of november from the moment we got there it was great reception staff lovely and aishling who took my booking over the phone was great lovely room was very busy for breakfast that morning after but the staff were great the food for breakfast was top class love the smoke salmon was brillant very good bar staff just always stay at this hotel when in galway just want to say a big thanks for just great place to stay try get down 3 or 4 times in the year want to say hi to caroline in reception who was off when was there very nice when i do stay at hotel great at her job any way love the hotel

I visited Galway this year for Race week. I stayed in The Connacht hotel for 6 nights. I booked a suite. I won't lie, it wasn't cheap - what else would you expect during race week in Galway! In any case what a great experience. The hotel was fantastic. It had all the facilities I could want and need. From basics such as an iron, bottled water and clean comfortable spacious accommodation to a beautiful pool and gym area. The staff were friendly professional and helpful. The food was tasty and there was good variety. If you got hungry and didn't fancy Eating formally in the restaurant then you could try the pub grub which was good quality or simply pop across the road to the local convenience store that had ample food to offer. The hotel is a short taxi journey from town (max 5 euro), however walking to town is a lovely experience as you have a choice of routes to get there. I will defiantly be back again!

This hotel has the makings of a brilliant family hotel however the bar service lets it down hugely. We stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment (king suite with interconnecting room). It was ideal for our family of 5. Beds were very comfortable and we had lots of space. Only thing was that rooms weren't serviced during the stay, but it didn't matter to us too much. The facilities for kids are brilliant. Great pool, and a wonderful kids club with excellent, friendly staff. Our boys loved it there. Staff on checkin were v friendly and helpful. Now to the bar....the service is very slow! Day 1 We waited 15mins just for our drinks to be brought and a further 20 minutes for our meal. In fact my husband had to cancel his drink order as he was waiting 30mins for a pint and we were bringing the boys to bed. Food was lovely but service just seemed to be all over the place. We had 3 different wait staff with us rather than 1 dedicated wait staff. Some of whom were very unenthusiastic about their jobs. Day 2 Beware as certain area of the bar only serves food until 5, I was there whilst kids were at pool. I ordered baby food but as my kids didn't get back til 5.05 we had to move seats in order to get our own food. This was not signposted by the hotel btw! We were told to sit in orange section but they were wither all high tables or sections were closed off. Just a complete shambles. The staff said that we were to head to the restaurant but we didn't want to bring the lads there and also were meeting friends who were only coming for a drink, eventually they opened an orange area for us. Day 3 : we learnt our lesson and ate in the Huntsman across the road (5*) It was such a pity as it just let the hotel down. Would we go again, yes, would we use the bar, probably not.

Just back from a two night stay in this hotel... Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The guys in the restaurant were amazing for breakfast along with the bar staff in the evening. Big shout out to Chris and Paul for catering for our every need. The staff are a credit to this hotel and I would like to thank them for everything they did for us during our stay.
