The hotel itself was fabulous: clean, trendy, great location (a block from the train station, abt a 10 min walk to the central shopping/dining area). The best surprise was breakfast: amazing pancakes .. so fluffy w a bit of crunch. Cute coffee shop attached, which was handy bc so many didn't open until later. HOWEVER, take ear plugs or be prepared for street noise especially if you sleep w the windows open. The hotel is far enough from the big crowds so it's not a constant challenge to get to sleep. However, a couple of bars on the block. Apparently had a good handful college kids (I hope) making their way out late singing and yelling. Then a clean-up truck came by around 4 a.m. All I heard was bottles being crushed and tossed. Now, I'm not a light sleeper, but it def made for a rough night. I did get ear plugs for the second night, but one fell out. That night didn't have a truck but still was kept up by one solo moron yelling up and down the street.

We were arricing later than registration hours, so the key was left in a locked box for our retrieval. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very scrumptious.

Very nice central location, functional rooms.

GOOD

Fantastic location, beautiful rooms & very clean with great restaurant/bar attached

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is absolutely fabulous. The adjacent restaurant, Hyde, is equally good. So very pleased with our decision.

Staff was lovely, but hotel was a disappointment. It was clean and good for sleeping but that was about it. Bathroom in room was broken down, old, falling apart. They give you a gross, stained rubber mat for the tub because it is slippery as hell. No fridge or AC (although was pleasant temperature). They had a small fan. Window in room only cracked open about an inch and it opened up into a roof area. Very loud area, you hear everything through the closed windows and walls. Halls and rooms stunk like fried food, I guess from the restaurants kitchen below. Parking garage is very confusing and there is no place to pull up to unload luggage in front of the hotel. Had to lug our luggage 2 blocks from the parking garage. 10 minute walk to the main strip of restaurants and bars, but tons of hostels around the area of the hotel. It merely allowed for a (grossed out) shower, and a bed to sleep, that is all.

Great location in Galway. Very noisy however if you face the street

Overall this hotel is good. Location was amazing and located right next to the parking garage which was a + for out of town travelers. Bed was very comfortable - only complaint is room was very hot & searched far and wide for thermostat - which I didn’t find. The Hude attaches to the property is excellent A++! Drinks a great, brunch was amazing and dinner was good too! Go here for sure!

On a quiet edge of town, conveniently close to the bus and train stations. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the room was beautifully decorated with a great view.

The restaurant was very interesting. The real thing that stood out however was the front desk staff. They were exceedingly helpful.

Great location and great staff . There is a bit of walk to city center but if you walk by the westport hotel its a nice walk .

I loved staying at this hotel! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff (felt so welcomed), bed is big and comfortable, and the room is really spacious/comfortable as well (and they have a USB socket installed on the wall - incredibly convenient to charge phones when you don't have a converter with you). The hotel is located at a short walk distance from the main train station of Galway (about 4 minutes walk), across the street from a coach station from where a lot of bus tours depart, across the street from Aran Island ferry office branch where you can pick up your ferry tickets from, and also a very short walk distance from the main square (Eyre Square - about 5 minutes walk). It is also about 10 minutes walk to the main street and walkable to all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet and hot food that they cook for breakfast are also wonderful, and their homemade soda bread was delicious! I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful in providing recommendations for fun activities. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast with both a buffet and orderable menu options.

After spending the day on Inismore, or the Cliffs and Burren, in the rain, it was nice to retire for the evening with hot shower, nice linens and a kingsize bed. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were all helpful and attentive. Thank you '

Hotel was great, the lift was close to the front door and the hotel staff gave great recommendations for food and drink. The hotel is half a block away from Square and is great as on the weekends this town comes to life and can be loud. Great spot, would stay there again if in Galway again.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review we really appreciate it! We are sorry to hear about the restless nights sleep you had but as we are in the city centre of Galway we don't have much control over noise levels of the street. We would love to welcome you back again in the future!

Dear Guest, I am very disappointed to read that you were so unhappy with the cleanliness and presentation of your bedroom. I have highlighted your feedback with the Accommodation Management Team. I wish to assure you that your experience would certainly not be the usual of our Guests, as we normally we receive very positive feedback regarding our Bedrooms. However, we take all our Guests feedback very seriously and we will make every effort to ensure a more consistent level of service in this area in the future. Warmest Regards, Aisling
