Called out on a Saturday to meet a friend, a wedding was due to arrive and staff were getting ready for reception. Had to move seats twice but staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Food was nice, although portions were quite small even for lunch menu, tea coffees dessert was lovely.

We stayed on a Saturday night, we booked 2 rooms, one for my son and one for ourselves and our daughter. The pool was the main selling point for the stay and our daughter and son got plenty use out of it. The food was nice, the hotel rooms were def not 4 star standard and the noise on the Sunday morning at 9am was a disgrace. Turns out our bedrooms were either side of a meeting point for the cleaning staff who had a lengthy and loud meeting outside our door, the laundry which was also below our window, had the doors open and the radio on loud at 9am also. The rooms did not have individual control for the heating so we had to open the windows so we were less than delighted to have to listen to clare fm at 9am in such a tranquil setting.... the receptionist at checkout barely made eye contact, in fact she gave us someone else’s bill and didn’t notice til we pointed it out! we weren’t asked at check out if we were happy with everything and so we did not make an issue of it, however if you are staying here, request a room away from the laundry and also away from any ‘stations’ where the staff may congregate if you are hoping for a bit of a lie in. Another disappointing point was the playroom that is advertised for younger children, we were told when we asked that it was closed for renovations to be ready for mid term break. I hope the kids that stay there over mid term enjoy it cause our 5 year old daughter was upset that it was out of bounds. The girl on reception on the sat evening did give her a DVD player and a selection of dvds though and in fairness she was lovely. Overall it was a nice break, the setting is beautiful and the grounds etc are also beautiful. But def not 4 star.

Love this Hotel... Got a room upgrade as it was our 10th wedding anniversary, room was huge with huge comfy bed and a lovely sea view. Breakfast was delivered on the first morning and was great, to be honest the second mornings in the restraurant wasnt as good in my opinion, but the atmosphere was nice and the staff where very helpfull. The bar is very relaxed with a nice mix of guests and locals. Our stay was the weekend of Storm Brian but even that didnt take away from the comfort, charm and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and the weather even lent itself the whole Wild Atlanic Way experience. Cant wait to return in the hopefully not too distant future.

The Connemara Coast hotel is something special. It is located just 10 minutes outside of Galway city right on the shore of Galway bay. Staff are friendly, service and attention to guests is first class. Rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a general atmosphere of peace and relaxation throughout the hotel. Food is delicious especially in the Gallery restaurant. The leisure centre has a great swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub where if you are lucky you can watch the sunrise in Galway bay. I was sad to leave but will be back. Highly recommended.

A very warm, welcoming hotel, perfectly suited to our requirement. A peaceful, quiet, relaxing break with really nice food, a comfortable bed and simply to chill out for a few days beside the sea overlooking Galway Bay. As recent retirees, the novelty of just being able to 'up and go' whenever we feel like it is still fresh. This Hotel had a splendid package of 3-nights dinner, B&B at a very reasonable rate, sold as a Golden Years Midweek Break. The hotel is well located for trips with the car to sample the isolated splendour of Connemara and it's coastline.

The best part of the hotel is the view of the Atlantic. Room was small but clean. Breakfast was usual English buffet. Just average, nothing very tasty. Was with a tour group. Disappointed that we were not near city center. Did not want to taxi to town. Bar was ok, slow to be waited on. Soup was good.

Admittedly i was a little let down on first impressions. I thought the hotel looked quite dated and there was a distinct smell as soon as you walked in, almost like people have smoked indoors? The staff are friendly and the food is decent, with a particularly nice breakfast. Although when dining in the bar area the tables were very sticky and your condiments are in sachets which is more fast food restaurant and less 4* hotel. Beds are okay, firm but comfortable. Ours was two single mattresses pushed together. Lovely location, right on the coast. However expect to pay €40 return taxi fare if you’re going to town (10 minutes away). Maybe a shuttle bus could be a service provided? Overall I would recommend this hotel however I would also opt to try somewhere else if I were to return to the area.

We stayed here on a two night with one dinner package. The room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The service was without fault however the food was pretty dreadful. The breakfast on both mornings tasted as if it had been cooked for many hours. The dinner was also very disappointing the fish (sea trout) was farmed, frozen and microwaved. Stay in the hotel but eat elsewhere.

You could not ask for a more beautiful location. It is somewhat remote, but just a short drive back to Galway. There are good local restaurants and shopping in the area. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. Stayed an extra night because we loved the facility and location.

I was very impressed with the lobby and upstairs balcony. The views of the bay were great! The room 522 had an odor that didn't go away- I should of told the desk to change rooms but we were hardly in the room. Breakfast was great and they made a special dessert for our anniversary! It was close to Galway city and had a great time there! Loved our visit to this area!
